That each room was a condo, not a high rise hotel.

The water wasn’t hot and i needed to wait for an engineer to fix it. Luckily the outside temperature was 36’c so having a cool shower wasn’t so bad.

Swift staff perfectly fulfilled my special requirements messaged in advance Very quiet Aircon and Wi-Fi worked well Best water cooker I had in Thailand Thanks to big mosquito screens, cross ventilation possible 2 electric plugs next to bathroom sink Quick affordable laundry service (laundry form in reception) Nice white “hotel stripe” bed linen; great sleep on not too soft bed; nice not too soft pillows; electric plugs and individual bedside lamps on each side of double bed Individual covered parking bays next to each bungalow, comfortably wide even for SUV Fridge quiet, but small and partly filled with drinks for sale

Bungalow sleeping rooms face each other fully frontal, you're forced to close the curtains Shower pressure and shower heat mediocre Water for bathtub less than hand-warm at best, less than “un-un” in Thai parlance; not even 4 L of boiling water from the kettle made bathtub water hot enough for me; so you have a luxurious bathtub in a luxuriously large bathroom full of daylight and with mini jungle behind glass in an upmarket motel - and you are let down by lack of hot water, a major disappointment (in another hotel the solution was to clean the water outlets so that the pressure rises which activates the water heater) (notes: the water heater’s light was on; water heater was turned to maximum power; I didn't ask staff about the issue) No personal outdoor seating area (I guess they don't promise it), only the less inviting swimming pool environment Night receptionist seemed less competent than daytime staff (as in many mid-range hotels) Some staff don't speak English (some speak very well) Generally plush room, but no electric plug close to table Little shelf space in big bathroom, 2 people with some toiletries might struggle ceiling light can be controlled only by switches next to the door, not from the bed Blue River Resort is not at all on the river and river Nan is not blue at all
