I stayed here twice, once before the civil unrest en route to Mexico and again in the middle of the vote in Bolivia. On both occasions the owner and staff were very helpful, spoke excellent english and provided valuable info to get out of Santa Cruz when most roads were blocked. A difficult time for the local people and the owners of business. However the owner of Sibaris did all she could to keep me happy and informed, despite all the shops and facilities being closed. Internet was especially helpful and strong throughout my 6 day stay there. Cleaning staff were hard to come by, but that is the least of a dramatic and difficult environment. Hot water was strong and was able to maintain a clean room and fresh clothes. No laundry outside as everything closed. Safe environment and easy access, with their entry system.

Not being able to speak Bolivian. No shops being open , apart from a farmacy and one or two small side street shops. Load explosions from fireworks at all hours. Sibaris is at the opposite side of town to the bimodal, so need to walk 4km to get to a bus or the train. No taxis available and bimodal was barred from entry and disused when I was there. Ride to the airport was interesting as most junctions closed . Some bribery and documentation needed to cross some three major blockades and perhaps 10 smaller ones.

Room was clean... microwave... fridge... kettle... Cool AC

Not a hotel....a residence with many rooms to rent... isolated location..hard to find...no signs on building.. unprofessional staff..slow WiFi
