Great little gem

Excellent location. Good stay overall.

The management team was prompt and responsive. The apartment was lovely though not fancy. I appreciated the beautiful field of wildflowers outside the kitchen window and how close to Stirling Castle the property was located. I loved the bathtub, hot water, and electric fireplace.

The apartment was functional and comfortable but the entry stairs will not be what most Americans are accustomed to as more utilitarian than cosmetic. Just a note that there was a tiny bit of peeling paint in the bathroom and when damp outside, perhaps some mildew/cat odor in the carpet, but neither of theses small items affected my stay and the company offers a suggestion pad right on sight to seek suggestions for improvement.

A comfy spot in a beautiful city .

Good size space for a couple of nights stay.

Felt a bit grungy at the entrance to the unit and also the fact that it’s situated at the top of a steep hill.

Very disappointing property.

The apartment was clean.

This apartment is in a run-down block on a street of similar properties. We left after two hours due to the apartment smelling strongly of cannabis and loud music / party downstairs (6 o'clock Friday evening - was hardly likely to improve!) Very disappointed and left a very negative view of Sterling, sadly.

Love appartment, great location

Appartments was great. Clean, tidy and everything you need. Located with walking distance to everything, brilliant location. Host had thought of everything from washing powder to tea n coffee!

Entrance stair well not great for first impressions. Street parking very unclear due to line markings, but we had no issues.

Large, clean apartment, 5 minute walk from Stirling Castle

Large, clean property, very close to Stirling Castle. The walk uphill from the train station with the luggage was a bit challenging, I would suggest taking a cab. The bed is as advertised, a double, which was quite small for the 2 of us (and we are small people!) It was nice that the sofa bed was already made up for our daughter when we arrived. The kitchen is excellent, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge. There is a large Tesco near the train station, so stock up before heading up the hill!!

Just the size of the bed, but I knew that when I booked, however sometimes you get a queen size bed when it says double.

Fantastic weekend stay in Stirling and lovely apartment to chill in.

The apartment is in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk from Stirling Castle and approximately a 15 minute walk into the city centre. It was very quiet in the evening with very little noise. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay and would definitely book again if returning to the area. Perfect!

Terrific location & amenities

The location was perfect- just below Stirling Castle & walkable to town. All the amenities we needed were there, including washing machine & drying rack (airer). The stove (hob) was tricky to figure out, but I realized the manual was in the drawer beside it, so I learned! Tea & coffee were provided, as well as sweeteners & packets of milk. There was wildlife out the back (kitchen) window, including birds, rabbits & squirrels! We used the fireplace quite a bit- convenient with a remote control & blower, which helped dry our clothes quicker :) Overall, the apartment was great for a couple & in a fab location.

The host was a little slow to reply to questions & comments, sometimes replying the next day, which didn't help with immediate needs, such as requesting a later checkout (it was denied due to another guest coming, apparently). Checkout at 10am is earlier than most places, so we were hoping to have a little more time to have breakfast, clean up & pack without being rushed. We also weren't sure what to do with the trash, as there was conflicting info online vs in the booklet in the apartment, and we didn't hear back until after we'd checked out, so we just tied up the rubbish & left it all in the kitchen. Quicker responses & a slightly later checkout time would have given this apartment a 10!

Amazing, quiet stay close to Stirling Castle

I loved that this property was literally on the outer walls of Stirling Castle- I’m quite sure that the walls behind the property are part of the outer walls of the castle, but who knows. We had a water heater for warm showers, a washer, different kitchen amenities, tourist information, and great heat supply. The sofabed is an Ikea bed- I only state that because I’ve noticed some travelers may not like that, but me and my kids “camped” there the whole stay. There is a “fireplace” heater in the living room, so we were happy to just sleep in the toasty living room. There is a Tesco in the area that required some walking. I also rented a car, and there was plenty of street parking for it. The downside of Stirling (Not the property) is the bus schedule not running as planned, so take advantage of the car rental and parking space.

This wasn’t a deal breaker, but something I didn’t understand- the door to the apt has frosted glass, and is the only door in the building that is like this. At night, the only way to block out the hallway light was to close the living room door (or the bedroom door if you slept there).

Met all our expectations

Location is unbeatable. Truly. It had everything we needed. My 4 year old and I had no problem walking down the hill and back for dinner and the castle is right next door.

There is a faint smell of old cigarette smoke, probably in the carpet, that my wife didn't notice but I am more sensitive to. The heater in the entryway doesn't turn off.

Great centrally located stay in a beautiful city

Good price for a heavily visited city and centrally located. Easy walking distance to anything we needed and pretty much on the doorstep of the castle. The space had everything we needed for a short stay.

The entryway definitely had a slight smokey smell. Thankfully, this didn't permeate the rest of the flat. The mattress on the bed was a little harder than most of the others we experienced on our trip. We're younger people, so it didn't affect us too bad, but we definitely noticed as soon as we laid down. Do be warned that this location may be difficult to reach for anyone with small children or mobility issues. The hill leading up to the stay is quite steep. If you aren't getting dropped off right at the location, but prepared to feel a little burn in your legs.

Took one look at room and could not stay here

Where do I start? 1) The location was not the best. Had to walk up stone steps (not secured) inside a block of flats to the apartment. 2) The room was not as it looks from the pictures. They are accurate, but they do not show how old the carpets are (look very dirty). Everything looks old and need of a good renovation. I would not like to have walked on the carpet with bare feet. The room when we walked in smelt very fusty/ moldy. I rang and spoke to two people to explain my concerns, the last lady actually put the phone down on me, when I said that I would be looking for somewhere else to stay as we were not prepared to stay in somewhere like this room as potential health hazard for somebody with severe asthma / COPD. We did walk out and stay elsewhere.
