This is the loveliest holiday apartment we have stayed in, very stylish and well-equipped indeed! Sandra has thought of every detail including tea, coffee pods, sugar, nibbles, and wine in the kitchen. Other useful practical elements include enough toilet rolls, kitchen roll and cleaning equipment for your entire stay, and recycling is super easy. The beds and bedding are lovely and comfortable and there are more than enough beautiful soft towels. There’s even a tray with useful items and eye masks for light sleepers in each bedroom, and in the bathroom there were more than enough toiletries for the whole stay along with a washbag containing useful items for those who have forgotten essentials.
Sandra was so communicative and offered ideas for places to visit during our stay. Great location - tiny park opposite, short walk to bars, restaurants and shops or up the hill to the castle.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again and I hope everyone who chooses to stay here really looks after it as this is a true gem!

It may be useful to know there are a couple of flights of gentle wide stairs up to the apartment. No problem to us at all.

We had a totally amazing time at this beautiful apartment. It is spacious, warm, immaculately clean, tastefully furnished & well-equipped. We had easy communication with Sandra, check-in is via a key safe and once inside, everything is obvious. There are so many thoughtful touches to this apartment which make it special – welcome basket, nice toiletries, black-out blinds on all windows, fast wifi, luxurious bedding and towels – the list is too long to write it all here!
The apartment is in the old town, opposite a little park/garden with views up to a couple of hotels. There is street parking outside which makes arrival & departure easy. Otherwise, we left our car in one of the multi-storey carparks as you can visit all the main sights on foot.
The walk up to the castle is steep but fairly short. The castle offers a free quided tour every half hour which we would highly recommend. Along the way, we enjoyed lunch at the Portcullis pub. Just a few steps down the hill, we had a fabulous lunch at a traditional Scottish restaurant called Brea. Otherwise, we cooked in the well-equipped kitchen.

The fridge is on the small side but our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.
