Oldy De Garden

I will start with a preface - the photos of the accommodations DO NOT do this place justice. The room was INCREDIBLE, very cute atmosphere and very spacious. I originally thought based on the photos that the rooms looked average but I could not have been more wrong. Almost like a high quality studio apartment with a big bathroom and a full size kitchen (including plates, bowls, mugs, silverware and even a sandwich press for your take home 7-11 toasties). The bed was extremely comfortable and the ambiance was great. We booked an apartment and set our preference to be on the second floor to have a balcony, in which I am so glad we did. The balcony was such a cute place to eat breakfast, step outside for some tea at night, or just sit and listen to the rain. The atmosphere of the facilities was wonderful due to the surrounding trees, gardens, ponds, and shade from the heat. The location was great, it is a 3 minute walk from an infamous food market (which has been visited by Anthony Bourdain) and a 5 minute walk to the Old City north gate. We were able to rent a bike for the whole day (50 Baht per bike) and travel a little further to some more markets and infamous restaurants. The owners were kind and you were always greeted with a smile. A nice detail was that the accommodation provided umbrella's (we stayed in the wet season), tea and coffee packets, as well as 12 liters of water for our stay. As for amenities, WIFI was great, AC worked perfect and the place was spotless of bugs. Terrific overall stay.

A wonderful homestay located in a quiet cul-de-sac – perfect for relaxing, yet only a few minutes from the Old Town and Chiang Mai’s main attractions. The entire property is exceptionally well designed, with great attention to every detail. The rooms are beautifully equipped and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The family running the homestay is incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. I enjoyed my stay so much that I decided to extend it, and I will definitely come back on my next visit to Chiang Mai. What impressed me the most was how thoughtfully every aspect of the rooms and the entire property had been planned. You can truly feel the care and passion that went into creating this place. Highly recommended!
