Brilliant weekend away in Edinburgh staying in a lovely apartment

A mixed bag, but it did become our home while we were there.

Very good location for access to public transport. Very spacious rooms and well appointed kitchen.

There was litter & rubbish piled high in bins in the entrance foyer on our arrival, and the litter grew more & more during our stay. Through the foyer and into the carpeted hall there were large blue bags containing soiled laundry, piled on top of each other, bottles of cleaning materials, various odds & ends, a vacuum cleaner, and an open door to a storage cupboard than was never closed. The carpet was soiled & stained. There was no sign of a cleaner on the premises during our stay. We wanted fresh towels after several days bur had no luck in accessing this service. The self-help instructions from the provider simply guided us to their website to "ask a question". After several days, we received a response which in turn advised us to contact a third party online. There was no plug for the kitchen sink. The clothes dryer didn't actually dry the clothes, even after several hours. There was no toilet roll holder. When we ran out of toilet paper, we had to buy our own as there was no more available in the room. The street appearance of the premises could have been outstanding, but was let down by the constant litter around the entrance steps and streetscape. There were beer bottles & cans, cigarette packets and take-away containers spread around the pavement outside. Guests in one of the other rooms would sit on the front steps vaping & smoking throughout the day & evening. Although a convenient location, the trade-off was that it was very noisy, with police/ ambulance sirens going off constantly, as well as the "ding" of trams going back & forth.

Sadly disappointed.

We have stayed there twice before. We like the large rooms and convenient location.

Not maintained like it was in the past. The trash was bagged and piled up in the entryway and the vacuum cleaner and cleaning products piled up by the stairs. The bed is now a double and not a king and was not very comfortable. There was a miserable beat up old pullout sofa in the living room and the correct sofa moved into the dining area. One evening the smoke alarm battery started to cheep every 40 seconds and it was at least 4 hours before they finally sent over someone to fix it but only after 5 phone calls and we arranged to see another hotel for the night. We were promised “some compensation” for ruining our evening plans but have yet to be contacted by them. Remember this was our third 5 day stay at this apartment in 3 years.

Superb

Apartment was lovely. Beautiful building in the West End, our perfect location in Edinburgh. We feared the heating would not be sufficient as the weather was freezing but it was lovely and warm. Apartment was, as stated very large and spotless. Modern furniture, kitchen and bathroom.

Would get top marks with just a couple of extra details. No wine glasses, just champagne, no plug in kitchen sink, more towels would be good, only had 2 and hand towel, and the bedroom is so large, a super king would be perfect. Bit better quality in the bedding and pillows and the extra duvet in the wardrobe was badly stained. Like I said, just picking up on things that would make the place perfect. But we would definitely stay again.

Brilliant apartment in an excellent location. We felt like locals!

The location is excellent, the size is truly massive and the hi fi system is brilliant.

Not enough loo roll provided for 3 night stay (2 rolls). When we asked for more we were told we had to purchase ourselves.

Very shabby, needs updating.

The bed was dreadful, I couldn’t have slept there another night. The stair carpet and bedroom carpets were badly stained and need replacing. The walls were all covered in hand marks. The bedroom ceiling is badly stained. Loose socket. Furniture is very shabby, except the glass table and kitchen units. Not 5 star as sold.

Good location, comfortable bed, excellent powerful shower, very spacious apartment

We were two friends travelling and therefore needed access to the couch bed. Couldn't find bedding/sheets and when emailed to ask I was informed that I would need to pay £15 extra for this. What a disgrace! Poor WiFi, dead flowers in the living area and bedroom and stained, dirty couch/cushions.

Pessima assistenza appartamento carino

Appartamento grande e carino.

Ho prenotato con booking un appartamento a Glasgow prima di questo. Inoltre 3 mesi fa sono stata a Vienna con la stessa organizzazione. Ho sempre interloquito in italiano e mi è stato risposto in inglese. In questa struttura non ho ricevuto risposta per giorni, facendomi francamente preoccupare. Solo quando ho provato a scrivere mio pessimo inglese si sono degnati di rispondere.
