Moncrieff Manor

Thank you, Kevin and Betsie, for making our Knysna trip so memorable. My best friend and I stayed at Moncrieff Manor while visiting Knysna for the Knysna Forest Run, and from the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The property is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the lagoon that you wake up to every morning. Kevin and Betsie are exceptional hosts. Kevin was always available to help, whether it was answering questions or recommending places to visit. Before we left for George Airport, we asked for suggestions on what to see along the way. We ended up following every one of Kevin's recommendations instead of our original itinerary, and they turned out to be some of the highlights of our trip. What impressed us the most was the care they showed on race day. Although breakfast is usually served from 8:00 a.m., they woke up extra early and started serving breakfast from 4:00 a.m. so that all the runners could eat before heading to the forest. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us. And Betsie—your eggs are hands down the best we've ever had! They truly haven't tasted the same since we left. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. We were pleasantly surprised to find a fully equipped kitchenette with a stove, fridge, and microwave. We didn't end up cooking, but having everything available made the stay even more convenient. The hot water was always reliable, and every detail made us feel at home. Thank you again, Kevin and Betsie, for your genuine hospitality and for going above and beyond to make our stay so special. We left with wonderful memories and can't wait to return. We will definitely be booking with you again and highly recommend Moncrieff Manor to anyone visiting Knysna.

Moncrieff Manor provides the most beautiful views, comfortable, well equipped rooms and warm hospitality from the hosts in an incredibly convenient location.

The have the most beautiful view. Great breakfast and spacious room. Will definitely visit again.

The view, hospitality and breakfast was all exceptional.

The walls between rooms were extremely thin and neighbours next door to us were very noisy both nights we stayed which was not pleasant. The shower needs some work - taps were very loose and took a while to get the shower to the right temperature. Shower head was not great either and exposed wiring by the extractor fan didn’t look safe. Electricity issue from possible overloading with all room heaters on at the same time, etc caused power to trip a few times. No toaster and very small kitchenette area but was sufficient for short stay. Openview only so not many tv channels to choose from.
