The 3rd time I have stayed in Winchcombe, a very pleasant and interesting town.

The location of Queen Mary cottage is very convenient to the centre of Winchcombe, situated in the grounds of Sudeley Castle, Very convenient to the local pub, The White Hart Inn, which served excellent food, and the local shop. Winchcombe was also ideally suited to travel to Bouton on the Water and other Cotswold towns and villages.

Just a few minor irritations, the hot water in the shower was very erratic, running both hot and cold, it was impossible to regulate the temperature to remain constant. This is the same problem I had when staying at Emma Dent's cottage a couple of years ago, obviously nothing has been done about the erratic water pressure. The under stairs cupboard could do with a few hooks to hang coats. One big problem was the access to the cottage. The cottages are located on Castle Street, which on arrival was closed for access. The diversion took us 10 Miles out of Winchcombe. This was utterly ridiculous as there was a shorter diversion using Rushley Lane, a 3 mile diversion. We should have been informed of this by Bolthole.

What a treat

The property was beautifully designed with close proximity to local shops & pubs. They leave you with a starter kit of Nespresso coffee & hot chocolate pods, tea bags, sugar & 1pt of milk.

Nice little house with great location for the Festival.

Great private location only ten minute drive from Cheltenham Race Course and only a five minute stroll to local pub.

No curtains in kitchen and hallway made us feel we were living in a gold fish bowl.

Tired out, in need of renovations and too expensive - really need to invest in improvements!

Location.

We've stayed in several of the cottages at Sudeley over the past 5 years and each time they are obviously & increasingly in need of renovations. For the cost of these rentals all cottages should have dishwashers and more and better kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery & other items. Unless things improve we will be looking elsewhere for future visits to Winchcombe.
