Good bang for the buck

Nice bedroom with AC. Little off the main street so it's quieter. Pool is nice. Owner is pretty chill and helpful.

It's 25 min walk to the beach and it's very busy on the sidewalk ! However, closer is more expensive. If on a budget, this place is a solid choice.

I like the fact that it’s located in the centre of Canggu. With a friendly host.

I think the price and the room is a fair. But it’s different what’s being advertised on this page. Room that’s being advertised exists in the guesthouse but not exactly the ones that you believe you paid for. If you want to have the room then will be an additional charge.

A great budget-friendly stay in a top location!

What I liked most about this accommodation was definitely the location — it’s perfect if you want to stay in the heart of Bali’s tourist area (Canggu). The rooms are clean and basic, but for this area, they’re some of the best-priced you’ll find. The owner is very kind and always happy to help with any questions. During my stay, it was wonderfully quiet with no surrounding noise, which made it extra relaxing. The air conditioning works well, and the pool is great for cooling off. While the place looks a bit dated, everything is clean and well-maintained.

Just a small heads-up: the cheapest rooms only have cold water showers, so if you prefer hot showers, this might be a drawback. I’m not sure about the water situation in the other room types. Occasionally, there was also a slight sewage smell in the bathroom, so just keep the bathroom door closed.

Recommendable

The check in process was very easy. The host Panda is lovely and chatted to us for a while. He offers a selection of soft and alcoholic drinks at a very reasonable price. We booked the standard room and it is very basic but worth what you pay. My friend booked the deluxe room which was also a reasonable price but definitely gives a more luxurious feeling. It is good to have the option!

Like I said, the rooms were good value for money. I would say that the floor could have been cleaner but the bed sheets were clean and to me that was the most important thing. The only other downside is that the bathroom could smell bad after we had run water. I don’t really think this is the fault of the host, just more due to drainage system in the area. Despite these things, I would still recommend Plutos House and would stay there again. However, I would probably opt for the room upgrade.

The location was great, the pool was a nice extra too for the price. The bed was comfy enough and clean enough. Staff are lovely, kind and very helpful. Floor was clean, outside the rooms is clean. Nice drinks available for good price.

Not enough kitchenware and could do with some oil to cook with. If you are staying in the basic rooms the water is cold and wouldn’t recommended you using it unless you have a shower filter yourself (ours was black after). I don’t like having the toilet so close to the shower and the floor is not nice in there. The towels didn’t smell great but I think they were clean. There was no hand soap or anything. The tea towels in the kitchen were really dirty. Only 1/2 stovetop works. For the price it’s not bad but think people should be aware of the above.

Fabulous atmosphere and perfect location. on the main road of changu close to all the famous restaurants and bars. 5 min scooter ride to the beach. Panda the owner is a dream and cannot help you enough, lovely clean pool. excess to the outside kitchen and FREE water refiller was a supprise bonus

Had a great stay - lovely pool area and communal space and really good location close to restaurants, bars and the beach. Host very accommodating and immediately sorted a small issue in the room.

Not directly linked to the property but dog down the lane barked aggressively when walking back at night. We were reassured it would not harm us it was unsettling. Also no wardrobe, although we didn’t mind this.

Pictures were a bit deceiving😕standard room had no space, the only window was towards the corridor. The room was very moist, no bed sheets on the blanket, nbathroom door did not close, sink leaked and the pipe ended half way across the wall, so the water had to go to the shower. Also no closets, only a small cabinet. It was also very loud, not a good night sleep nor a stay in the room.

the pillows were way too big and hard, not very comfortable. the people living in the other rooms aren’t the nicest and won’t say hi to you so not easy to meet people, rude Russians basically lol there was no hot water for 3 days

The manager Panda is a real cosy guy! there is air conditioning, swimming pool right out side, free water, you can boil water for coffee and it’s cheap.

The room. the only window (light) is to the hall and you can’t get any fresh air in, so it starts getting really funky. no drain in the sink, so water just goes to the bathroom floor. the Wi-fi worked badly in my room.

TL DR: - the host cancel the booking less than 24 hours before the check in date - unpleasant house rule - moldy room I booked 2 rooms for 6 nights, and another friend of mine who’s coming the next day also booked another room for 4 nights. It was 5 of us in total. We both used booking.com and book the room almost 3 months before. Less than 24 hours before my friend came, the host told me that they cancelled my friend’s booking because the guest house is “overbooked”. The reason behind this “overbooking” is because there’s an existing guest wants to extend their stay for a month, so the host “choose to give the room for a guest who stays longer than this “unserious” guest who just wants to stay for couple days”. Another thing is how the host making this rules that sounds unfair to our group. The host, together with some guests would stay until 1 AM drinking and making noises in the common area. But they told us if we want to make any gathering like that, it should ends at 10 PM because they don’t want us bothering other guests. But then again, they told us that when other guests making noises until midnight we shouldn’t complain because “it’s our fault not joining them, and we might choose the wrong place”. Regarding the rooms and amenities itself, I couldn’t say and complain much because I don’t expect anything from a cheap guest house. The ceiling is moldy, the toilet is leaking, and there is no soap. When I arrived, the bedsheet and towel smells moldy that I should put them in an express laundry service. On the 4th day, they change the bedsheet and the towel, this time they give us a fresher ones.

The best house in Canggu

Pluto house is the best place in Canggu to meet good people and make friends. Since the first day Im feel like in home. Panda is the best person I meeting in Bali, he do everything to help the guest. The location is perfect, have free water and coffee and cheap beer. The pool is so good and have a comun kitchen if fridge. We really missing Pluto family :) thank you for everything.

The wash basin pipe needs to be connected to the drain. I did not expect luxury at this price but this is kinda basic You dont let the wash basin drain out on the floor.
