Property has a very nice large balcony, inside the house there is also a lot of space but it still feels cosy. The host is very dog friendly

The house is next to a busy road but it didn't bother us that much

The host went above and beyond to assure a great stay. The house was well stocked with all the tools to prepare meals. We were gifted fresh food from the gardens on the property. We loved knowing the history of the house and that owners are doing their best to protect the environment. Everything in the house is fit for a long stay. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, clean and cozy. We stayed 4 nights and everyone in our group is already wanting to return! There is a mini-market within walking distance that also has fresh bread. We were going to go out to meals but the house and back patio were so inviting that we decided to cook the entire time at the house. There are wonderful walks directly in back of the house and beautiful scenery to discover. We walked every morning! We spent one afternoon seeing the Arouca suspension bridge and one day walking the Paiva Passadiços. Can’t wait until we are able to come again! One of the best trips we have had!

We liked everything. I will mention there is traffic noise because the house is on the main street . We were 2 couples and used the back 2 rooms and they are quiet. You don’t hear any noise at all in those 2 rooms. For those who are sound sensitive the 3rd room facing the street may not be good without ear plugs. It wasn’t an issue for us because we didn’t need to use that room. The upside to being on the main street is that you can walk to everything you may need for your stay as we did.

Amazing location and hospitality. Couldn’t ask anything for more. The host is super friendly and lovely. They treated us just like we are one of their family.
