The Old Dairy

The location is absolutely perfect - so quiet at night but within minutes walk of Newmillerdam lake and park, as well as 2 pubs, 2 Italian restaurants and a cafe which did amazing breakfasts!

The bed could do with firmer pillows but appreciate that's very subjective. Could have done with a couple more baking trays for heating up food on, but on the whole the kitchen was well stocked. Other than that, prospective bookers should be aware that this is an old cottage and it has a steep and winding staircase. That didn't bother us but older people or those with mobility problems might struggle.

Good location for our needs. Plenty of pub/restaurant choice around, most within walking distance.

Parking is on a narrow lane (very little turning space) but we found spaces fairly easily.

We liked the location and the cosyness of the house.

Parking was hard - it was street parking but too many houses for spaces! The key box is very tempramental it took us ages to get it to open. I would have liked a bit of interaction with the owners but nothing really from them. I got the feeling the neighbours adjoining the property and opposite were not happy that an Air BNB was in operation right on their doorstep but to be fair im not sure I would be if I was in their shoes either.

Location was good. Great for visiting Yorkshire Sculpture Park

The house was really grubby and sticky. Crockery was dirty, everything had a layer of dust. Towels were clean but musty smelling. Dirty cupboards, poorly equipped.
