Hamlet 1 Holiday Home

We loved everything about the home. The fact that everyone had their own bathroom was fantastic! The house was big enough not to feel cramped and the location was incredible,views pure magic and the set up of the bbq and pool was perfect ! Otherwise we will definitely be back soon

The only concern was that the toilet flush did not seem strong enough for a full flush but we managed to use buckets of water. I’m sure it may be something to do with the water supply and may not be in your control-so please take this answer with a pinch of salt. :)

No spray for flies

Very loud noises from the heating system in the pre dawn hours. The gym is good to have, but poorly equipped and maintained. Just a little refresh and a set of hex dumbbells would make a big difference.

The Hamlet 1 is professionally managed. The guests before us had gotten rashes, possibly from the swimming pool. The Ministry of Health had advised to Baron Holidays to change the water, which they promptly did. The representative, Sue, ensured me that they take sanitation and fumigation seriously, which seems to be the case, as we only saw once a lost cockroach in the living room.

When I asked the pool-man when the water of the pool was last refilled, he said he did not know, which was less reassuring. The hamlet is part of a holiday settlement, built not more than 20-30 years ago. Even though scenic, it has little character. The house is decent, but is overpriced. There is no eye for detail. I will spare you a description of the state of the toilet brushes. Baron Holidays runs the property like a company, efficient, but without hospitality.
