Great location, lots of bars and restaurants nearby and only a 30 minute walk to the Main Street of San Jose. Nice and quiet area for sleeping. Building is beautiful set on really nice grounds and what would expect for Costa Rica.
I don’t really think there was anything I didn’t like. I had an enjoyable stay.

Close to everything and safe. Comfortable beds and pillows.
I had to pay $10 extra to have a late check-in for when my flight arrived. Still a great place to stay, just good to know in advance you have to arrange for someone to let you in.

Fantastic location (near plenty of restaurants for brunch/dinner), free secure parking on site and boutique style hotel
Initially looked clean but areas like under the bed and being the toilet didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a while.

Location, nice aesthetic design touches
The aesthetic design choices did not make up for poor execution on the install, for example plumbing and lighting fixtures were not anchored, a futon might be fashionable but not if I can feel the spring supports through the mattress, the shower floor was not sloped to the drain and the lovely tile used was too slick for safety in a shower.
