Absolutely fantastic place to stay! Having booked this holiday well in advance, we arrived at the Stables in the evening. I called up and updated the owners due to the fact that I had a 9 rs drive including stops. The place looked better than in the pictures and the landlady was great. She had prepared everything for us and this made our holiday even better. The place was spotless clean and the layout was even better. The bedrooms were clean and tidy and the bathrooms were spotless. The landlady had also left some travel advice about local sightseeing which we used to the maximum benefit. We ended up seeing more places than actually planned due to this advice. The internet was great and I was able to look a weather forecasts prior to deciding where to go. My little boy enjoyed looking at the new born lambs with their mothers and he also had a close up look at the young calves. Having grown up on a farm myself, I was happy that my son could at least see the young calves. The other bonus was the availability of fresh eggs. We had a great holiday and spent all our time based on the advice given by the landlady. It was unfortunate that we could not meet her, but managed to have a chat on the phone. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a relaxed countryside break.
No issues with the accommodation at all. My only request from the landlady would be to provide details or menu's for local restaurants which provide good quality food. On the day we arrived, we went to Balfron station and got food from the local fish and chips shop. Unfortunately, the food did not agree with my son and we had a restless night.

The cottage is spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the three bathrooms are a delight; all the showers are powerful. The living room is a peaceful room, away from the large kitchen/family area- ideal for those seeking peace and quiet.
There was nothing we didn’t like about this property.
