Plesant stay close to Hoch-Ybrig

We stayed for 2 nights in this property to explore Stoos and Hoch-Ybrig ('longest' zipline in Europe). It was a perfect location, with a very well kept property. We received a room upgrade (I think by mistake - nonetheless we appreciated this). Very clean and comfortable rooms - the view from the balcony was really nice, creating a peaceful and calm atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and nice. There is a charging station for electric cars in the public parking, right in front of the hotel. Breakfast offered a good choice. The lodge also has a restaurant that offered good choices in the evening.

The property is a not too far from Schwyz (20 minutes). But if you don't like to drive on narrow mountain roads you will find it a bit stressful. Hoch-Ybrig is extremely easily accessible.

The property is in a great location, close to easy walks that we could do with our baby and beautiful views.

Only few rooms were refurbished like in the pictures and our was one of the old style ones.

Exceptional

- The restaurant has great food for a fair price except that we had to pay 7 CHF for tap-water even though we ordered other drinks too - We had one of the renovated rooms and it was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We kept the bedroom window open else the room would get too hot. Even though the window was open it was quiet. - The staff is very friendly the owner is very involved in the business. I enjoyed talking with them about the hotel and their future plans. They are currently renovating about 8 rooms a year. - The spa just under the roof of the building is very modern and clean. The spa consist of two saunas and one steam room. Between your sauna sessions you can make yourself a tea and relaxe outside on the balcony or inside. From inside the saunas you have a nice view of the mountains and it was a perfect way to enjoy the sunset

We will definitely be back, this was for us the best experience in the mountains with our kid.

The breakfast was great, tasty bircher muesli, excellent fresh croissants daily, nice bread, Italian coffees, plus the regular cold cuts and cheeses and eggs. They have a special chia pudding. The atmosphere and sitting were casual and inviting. The young and friendly staff was excellent at all times. The restaurant and the rooms have a great vibe, welcoming, comfortable, never rigid. Our son felt at home, there was never a disapproval or unfriendly look addressed at him. The play room is amazing, and so are the toys in the restaurant. The restaurant menu has lots of light options that are really tasty, which is special in the mountains, for my wife, who usually does not find many light dishes on most menus, it was a culinary delight each night and morning. The meat options are special as well, tender and juicy and with some nice sides. Each meal is in fact special, it comes with unusual sides, there is a lot of care in everything that comes on your plate. The owner is friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Very good

Location was excellent. The hotel rooms were decently sized and equipped. The balcony to the room was very good. Views from the room were excellent.

Breakfast could have been better i.e. more warm/ hot content that too during winter times. The sound insulation of the rooms need upgrades as a very low volume sound from far away was getting amplified through the walls. Quality of food in the restaurant could be improved as well.

The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. We only speak english and we didn't have any issues communicating. I loved the spa during our stay, and apart from the kitchen setup the room was comfortable and would stay again.

The kitchen setup wasn't what i'd hoped for, the hotplate i had to use had no rangehood so i ended up cooking outside in the cold because it was causing so much smoke. Also just basic cutlery with no utensils. No wine glasses in the room or decent drinking cups, not the end of the world but was a bit annoying.

Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht von allem: Ausstattung, Freundlichkeit, Service,, Sauberkeit, Preis/Leistung, Essen (Frühstück und Nachtessen).

Das Hotel liegt an einer sehr kinderfreundliche Skianlage inkl. Skischule und ist ideal zum Lernen Skifahren. Für das grosse Skigebiet Hoch Ybrig benötigt man ein Auto oder es hat gute Busverbindungen (kurze Fahrt). Positiv ist, dass es für das Skiticket Hoch Ybrig vergünstigte Tickets im Hotel gibt.
