Total and utter disgrace from the property owners

90 mins before arrival time we have a message from booking.com saying our payment card requires up dating. Whilst travelling on the 4 hr journey from Cumbria with my children, my son managed to check my card details which were correct. I phoned my wife to confirm our account balance then confirmed back with booking.com. move forward 3 notifications later changing cards during the process as we approached the accommodation the owner cancelled with 2 minutes to go to check in. We had called them, the first time it rang through and I left a message the 2nd time they cut it off after 2 rings. They had clearly let the apartment out to other people, probably for a larger fee due to a rugby match in the city, and they were ignoring us. This left us looking for accommodation with 1 hr to go for a family gathering. To say this was stressful would be an understatement. We found alternative accommodation, a 40 min walk from our desired location, through booking.com at 3 times the cost without communal space which was not ideal for my young family. Oh and low and behold the registered card with Booking.com worked immediately for this higher fee!! go figure. The property owner acted in a disgraceful manner, we are lodging an official complaint with booking.com and hopefully they will remove this property from their portfolio.

Lovely house
Travelled to Hull with a couple of friend.. The house is tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. The host communicated with us very well and everything went seamlessly.

Absolute death trap!

Robbed me on money, took £585 out my bank instead of £405 for 6 men, 1 of them broke their foot slipping down his unsafe stairs, won't pass over any insurance details and I'm still waiting for the rest of my money he unlawfully took off my card without my consent! Very rude man threatening on the phone as well.

I have stopped using booking .com for my business and my employees.
Nothing.
Unclean beds and Wifi which did not work. A landlord who was dishonest. A landlord and third parties entering the property making false allegations. Having to clean maggots which entered the property because of past food waste left in the garden by the landlord
