No kettle just a coffee machine

Nice house and pool

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the owner and his son, who was responsible for managing the accommodation. The location is peaceful and beautiful, but in our opinion, the accommodation is considerably overrated. The apartment itself is very modern, but far too small for a family of four to stay comfortably. The children’s bed was basically a squeaky mattress placed directly on the floor. The dining chairs were touching the mattress, as there simply wasn’t enough space for both a dining table with chairs and the bed. We were also very surprised that an apartment of this standard had neither a dishwasher nor even a kettle. When on holiday, we certainly don’t expect to spend our time washing dishes by hand. At first, there wasn’t even a dishwashing sponge, although the owner provided one immediately when we asked. After settling in, I noticed an ant in the cutlery drawer. It was unpleasant, but at first I didn’t make a big issue of it. However, when we later saw groups of ants moving across the floors, it became a completely different matter. There were even several ant traps placed behind the children’s mattress, which clearly suggested that the problem was already known. In my opinion, guests should not be accommodated in such conditions, especially considering the price we paid. The only response we received from the hosts was an apology, but unfortunately, an apology did not make the situation any more comfortable. It was also surprising that even the basic kitchen equipment was incomplete. For a family of four, there were only two forks and only two matching medium-sized plates. Another issue was the large number of hornets outside, especially around the swimming pool. There were so many that we could not really relax while using the pool and were constantly worried that the children might get stung. This made what should have been an enjoyable part of the stay quite stressful.
