The staff were friendly and it was very clean hotel

The staff worked hard and the facilities were very good value.

It was a long way from the centre of Shanghai.

The hotel itself is good and clean, and the room was well maintained. However, the breakfast was very poor and did not meet expectations.

The most concerning part of our stay was the staff behavior. A bellboy escorted us to our room and then offered to order dinner for us. We agreed and ordered burgers and fries. When the food arrived, it turned out to be McDonald’s, and the bellboy demanded cash payment, claiming he had personally paid for the food himself. It was never made clear that the food was not ordered through the hotel or that it would be paid directly to him. Since we had just arrived from the airport and it was already 11:00 PM, this put us in a very uncomfortable situation. He refused any other form of payment, so we were forced to go out at midnight to find an ATM. I have honestly never experienced anything like this before. Additionally, more than a month after our stay, the hotel charged 59 euros to my credit card without explanation. I am still in the process of trying to recover this money, which makes the experience even more troubling.
