Vacation Station Piran

The apartment my partner and i were staying in is in a very nice location. Thisnis our second time vacationing here so our first impression 3 years ago was great. The beach is less than a 2 minute walk away and there is a reasonably well stacked grocery store right around the corner. There are also cafes all around with great coffee so your mornings can get off tk a great starts. The apartment is clean and well stocked with appliances (dishwasher, air conditioning, tv, stove, fridge...). The fridge also has a smaller freezer section which is great. The beds are big and comfortable and the couch is also great for resting. Guests are provided with printed out instructions on how to dispose of garbage which is also extremely helpful. The wifi was great and it ran smoothly.The hosts were extremely kind and always there to help and stock up on certain supplies if they ran out, they also reply very quickly to any messages and concerns you may have. Overall this was a great stay.

The apartment didn't have much natural light despite having two windows, but that is to be expected from the location. The only thing that bothered us a little bit was that you couldn't really air the space out and you can only dry your clothes inside so there was some humidity accumulating. Our swimsuits started to smell, because we couldn't dry it fully even if we left it on the windowsill. I don't think its a huge problem, we started drying our swimming towels and swimsuits at the beach and they dried in an hour. The bathroom also has very little ventilation and can get very humid if you don't leave the door open. These are all smaller issues, you as a guest can work around.

Fantastic location. Close to a huge choice of restaurants, ocean swimming and even a laundromat.

We chose this place because it was one of the bigger apartments in Piran but it was still very small! It reminded me of an Ikea display home - very compact. It would have been better to have reading lights and a shelf near the bed to make night life easier. Parking was quite a distance away and the shuttle bus doesn't run very often. We ended up walking down many steps with our luggage to get to the main town- not fun!
