Matty's Pub - Apartment's

Very clean, friendly people, great location

Really friendly host. Good location. Easy parking. Handy EV charger. A quaint adjoining pub, which was one of the reasons we booked. Shop across the street. Really nice breakfast places a short <5 min drive away.

The overall property feels tired and could do with investment and maintenance. The outdoor areas were disappointing, with bird droppings on the paving, weeds growing through the paths and gravel, and generally neglected surroundings. The "private sun room" was really just a basic plastic-roofed lean-to rather than somewhere you'd choose to relax. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with no wine glasses, no proper mugs and only a handful of plates. The pub hosted a staff party on the evening we stayed, which we weren't told about in advance. It was very noisy til late. All we needed was to be told.

Beautiful property warm fiendly pub next door, helped us order takeaway and gave us a free pint which was a lovely touch

Convenient for overnight stay after a wedding in nearby muinebeag

Odd smell, possibly damp, overall cleanliness, marks on walls, mould in bathroom on ceiling and grout, hand towel had make up marks on it when we arrived, electric sockets at bed for lamps and phone charging were not working, bed linen was clean, beds were comfortable but all in same room and kitchen alongside, quiet at night, just needs a bit more attention and cleaning.
