Perfect to let us visit elderly relatives in a nearby village

Located in a private back yard, but you wouldn’t know it. Owners have us plenty of privacy and space to park our car. Owner showed us around the flat to make sure we knew how things worked.

Recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautifully appointed lodge for a week, and it truly exceeded all expectations. Nestled at the end of a private drive behind a charming house, the lodge offers peace, privacy, and a real sense of escape – ideal for anyone looking to unwind in a quiet and comfortable setting. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed. The owner greeted me personally and took the time to show me around, which set the tone for what would be a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The lodge itself is purpose-built, and you can feel the care that’s gone into every detail. It’s the kind of place where you instinctively take your shoes off, out of respect for the quality and cleanliness of the space. Every room is beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished – it genuinely felt like a home away from home. Thoughtful touches were everywhere. A selection of four cereals in the cupboard and a proper bottle of milk (clearly fresh from the local milkman) awaited me, alongside a bowl of fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and a packet of biscuits. It reminded me of staying at my parents’ house – warm, familiar, and comforting. Cleanliness was absolutely top-tier. From the sparkling bathroom to the perfectly arranged cutlery drawer and fresh towels, everything was spotless. Clearly, nothing has been overlooked. One particularly thoughtful gesture stood out – after a day where the temperature soared past 30 degrees, I returned to find a fan waiting at the door. That simple act spoke volumes about the host’s care and attention to their guests’ comfort. It made for a much more restful night's sleep and left a lasting impression. In short, this lodge is a hidden gem. Quiet, immaculately clean, incredibly well-equipped, and hosted with genuine thoughtfulness. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again – 10 out of 10. A class act from start to finish. Well done!

The only minor point was a slightly noisy fridge, but it was hardly worth mentioning.

Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast cereals, fruits, tea, coffee, biscuits and milk provided is a lovely bonus.

Warm welcome in a lovely home from home place to stay.

Warm welcome from the owner. Clean, comfortable and everything there you need for the stay. Even tea, coffee, fruit, milk and biscuits were made available for us. Peaceful location and off the road private parking. Could not fault in any way, shame we couldn’t stay longer. Owner was also able to accommodate extra guest staying at short notice.

Idyllic lodge for a restful break away

Easy access off main road but private and residential. Fully shown around and facilities explained. Everything modern and clean. Homely feel with nothing left wanting. Hosts very welcoming and accommodating. Provisions including tea, coffee, milk and cereal provided. Idyllic.

Waste of money and misleading advertising

The only thing good was that it was clean

Very misleading pictures. It shows the actual lodge. Your accommodation is actually a converted garage and it's tiny. The lounge/kitchen,diner is all one room approximately 18x8. You can't have the bedroom blinds or lounge blinds open because the owners are in their conservatory facing directly at you. You can't use the garden either. You have a microwave for any cooking too. They won't worry because it's also been sold

Little gem

Quiet location, ideally placed for us to visit two sets of friends. We were greeted warmly and had everything we needed. The tea, coffee, milk, cereal and fruit were a lovely surprise. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is fab. Would definitely stay again!

Home away from home.

We didn't arrive until late in the evening due to a family bereavement. I had emailed previously and text before we left. We arrived around 9:30pm and was greated by Ray. He gave us a quick but thorough run through the property before pointing us in the direction of a takeaway for food. The property itself was immaculately clean and had everything you would need. It's a perfect size for a couple to use as a base, as we did, when attending events close by. There was milk in the fridge, biscuits and cereal in the cupboards along with fruit in a bowl on the table. The bedroom contained a double bed along with wardrobe and drawers (we didn't use these) along with the door to the bathroom. This had a walk in shower cubicle, sink and toilet. It is plenty big enough to dress comfortably. The living room/kitchen is a good size with a double sofa, large TV, nest of tables and a small dining table and chairs. The kitchen had a kettle, toaster, microwave along with a counter top oven/hob. This was more than plenty to allow us to have breakfast of bacon sandwiches. With plenty of plates, cutlery and other bits you could call it home away from home.

Best Stay Around Doncaster!

This is definitely 10 out of 10 stay!! The place is immaculate and very welcoming. Travelling for work, I see a lot of hotels and self-catering places and this is one is the best I have stayed in in a very long time. This was my second stay and definitely not the last one. Easy access to motorway or to Doncaster yet very quiet and with very little traffic. The hosts are lovely, always happy to have a small talk and answer any questions but equally happy to leave you alone if you want. You can park the car on your piece of driveway so it is very secure.

There is absolutely nothing I want to mention that I didn't like.
