We loved the location. Parking was a bit tricky but the town was very busy over Christmas. The cottage very clean.

Great location. Lovely cottage. Easy for walks, pubs, cafes and general stores.
Very modern facilities, while keeping an cottagey feeling.
I have nothing to complain about, just a quick heads up...
The property is a bit small, (that's just how it is). I was on my own, so this wasn't a problem, but I would say 2 adults and a child would be enough to fill it.
Also the bathroom is great, though the shower is a bit small. Nothing that can be done about that, but just something to consider.
These are very minor points, as everything else about the cottage is good.

Great location and a lovely cottage pubs and shops near by , free parking over the road which is precious in the area, got in touch with owner before we went and she was very helpful, tea, coffee and sugar, milk and a tasty pack of cookies on arrival, home from home with everything you need for your stay, definitely would stay there again if visiting Castleton.
Nothing all good

Absolutely incredible place to stay - loads of gorgeous walks nearby in the heart of castleton.
The pictures do not do it justice !
The opposite garden is absolutely incredible.

Superb location in lovely village, with walks from door.
More charging points would’ve been good.

We stayed here for 5 days. It was perfect for our family of 4. The property was clean and the kitchen is well equipped, having a washing machine and tumble dryer was a bonus.
It is in a great location, we were able to go on long walks up the hills and visit the local attractions (we recommend the Devil's Arse) without having to drive

The cottage was in a beautiful setting in the heart of the village. The walks were beautiful and long. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Both the dog and children loved the hills, caves, underground cavern and the friendliness of the locals.
The only negative I can think of is the rooster situated in the field behind the cottage. We did sign up for fairly early starts but the 5am wake up calls were outside of expectations.

slightly larger TV for rainy nights

Lovely informative e-mail sent by owner prior to stay.
Cosy little cottage, with everything you needed for a few nights stay - I'd suggest a family of 4 would struggle for space though as lounge/diner very compact.
Lovely & warm to come back to after a blustery walk on the Peaks.
Great location - no need to drive as all local attractions & refreshment facilities are within walking distance.
Lack of garden & parking a disadvantage & I would suspect during peak season parking nearby would be a problem. Very small courtyard would limit outdoor BBQ'ing & eating. Ability to unload car directly outside, but as far as no one wants to get past!
Shower is a little tired looking with grouting & seals damaged or had mildew/mould.

Fijne locatie in het gezellige dorp Castleton. Goede bedden, leuk ingericht, fijn om in de middag in het voortuintje in de zon te kunnen zitten.
