Caniço is a calm, quiet and charming litte village to stay in. Nice to return to after a day in Funchal. It’s close to the busstop. There are several good restaurants in the neighbourhood. A couple of supermarkets. I loved the view from my balcony. The communication with Miguel (and his daughter Micaela) was super! They are both very kind and serviceminded.
I thought the traffick outside would bother me more when I red that others have had difficulties to sleep because of it. With earplugs this was not a problem. The barking dog near by was more annoying.

Miguel was extremely friendly person, he was so welcoming and definitely made my stay as hassle-free as possible

It was best apartments with a beautiful ocean view! The owner is very nice and always ready to help)) Great place, there is everything for a comfortable life purely quiet and the best view from the balcony

Need new pillows as a bit lumpy and uncomfortable. Had to buy our own cork screw as none in kitchen.
