We loved Marseilles and property location is good for beach and old port.

Spacious

The property is on a busy street and the constant sound of traffic was intrusive. Furnishings seemed the worse for wear - nothing very bad but for instance a panel in the bedroom door was broken, only two mugs with one badly chipped, hole in ceramic cereal bowl … etc

Great location, cleanliness needs some work

The location of the flat was ideal for our visit in Marseille. Very close to Catalans beach and easy walking distance to the Old Port. Shops close by. The lighting in the flat is fantastic and there are mirrors aplenty.

Cleanliness - the flat needs a good deep clean. Surfaces are wiped, but walls, cupboards, windows and especially the shower need a proper clean. The sheets and towels are old and tired. Our pillow cases were also damp on arrival - probably because of the faulty washing machine (see note below).The bed is not terribly comfortable - it's a foam mattress and the "fitted" sheet didn't stay on the mattress, which also didn't have a mattress protector on. Nothing in the kitchen matches and the microwave was filthy. The washing machine was faulty and didn't progress to the spin cycle. The balcony had washing left hanging on it as well as other equipment, making it almost unusable. There was stuff left all over from previous visitors - nappies and a children's teddy. Most alarmingly was a large spot of quite severe damp above the cupboard in the kitchen. This needs urgent attention. A little bit of TLC and this will be a great place for anyone to stay.

The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed

It was on 2nd floor and lift was broken I have mobility issues so it was a stressful break and it was supposed to be a relaxing one we could have got apartment closer to old port on first floor but no lift so we decided to pay the extra to make sure we had a lift I understand this is not the host's fault but I don't think it broke the day we arrived and it still wasn't working when we left a week later

only location.

- Don't be fooled by the 5 star mark : This place couldn't be marked with stars - No parking place : I couldn't sleep until dawn looking for a parking spot. - Please prepare a blanket and towel personally : It was so dirty, our babies slept with our coats instead of a blanket. - Important!!! There were cockroaches in the kitchen : Host answered 'Cockroaches don't bite human' ... :( It was only one bad thing about my trip to France. We advise that don't trust marked star in case of personal appartment and you must check the worst review. (In addition, the host does not speak English)

La situation géographique, la proximité des commerces et des transports en commun. Le prix raisonnable pour Marseille.

Les résidents de l'immeuble sont calmes mais c'est mal insonorisé. L'appartement donne sur une rue très passante (local poubelle des verres en face des fenetres, café qui organisait une fête jusqu'a 2h du mat) pas de volets qui ferment le canapé n'est pas confortable et les draps n'étaient pas adapté au canapé.

Très bruyant, on entendait toutes les voitures passées donc mal insonorisé au niveau des fenêtres, pas de volets, la wifi n'a marché qu'un jour, pas de rangement dans la cuisine et salon La lumière dans le couloir marche une fois sur 2 Très difficile de trouver une place gratuite sinon parking payant hors de prix
