The Queens Hotel

Location is perfect , on the front and minutes walk to the centre of town.

The carpets , especially the stairway are really grubby . I appreciate this is a heavy duty area but it doesn't give a good impression to see things that dirty . Arrived back at hotel one evening just before 11pm. We wanted to take a drink up to our room but were told rather rudely the " the tills are off " rather disappointing, surely they could just have been added to the bill . The second morning my husband went down for breakfast alone . He ordered eggs benedict ( eggs were cold ) and asked for some toast & marmalade . He was told he couldn't have 2 things !! A bit petty considering I wasn't having breakfast at all .

The room was very comfortable and looked over the front, so great views. Breakfast choice was good and food tasty. Service very good. Choice of tea/coffee very nice

Sink in bathroom very small. Nowhere to put wash bags etc. Had to pay for parking, but not much

Food is fabulous plentiful and tasty and the staff are delighful

Carpets, sheets, room smells, cheap febreze overpowering the bathroom, Really needs updating
