Two-room apartment metro levada

The size of the apartment is good. There are separate rooms so you can have some privacy. You have most everything you need, albeit it is all antique like you are taking over the former house (and furniture and kitchen equipment...) of an old person. The apartment lacked a proper eating table when we arrived, but the owner provided one by the second day. He also agreed to let us move the desk which was in a bad location and provided an office chair. The location is surrounded by stores with easy access to public transportation that will get you anywhere in the city.

We asked 3 times for a proof we paid and it was never provided which makes you uncomfortable as a foreigner in another country. The refrigerator was never cold enough and he seemed to be in denial about that so milk went bad after a couple days and cheese and butter were soft and drinks just were not cold enough. We stayed a month so that was a real issue. The owner doesn't speak English so be prepared for Google Translate conversations. We had an issue with him about towels and sheets and he was a bit "nickel and dime" with us which was disappointing considering we were staying an extended term. There are also a lot of things "left behind" in the apartment like jars in the cabinets, an old TV that was left on the floor in a corner, assorted equipment and boxes in various cabinets and shelves. You don't feel it is really organized all that well.

Friendly host. The check in process was fast and smooth. Location is good, it's quite close to the city center (10 min by car) but it is outside of messy traffic area of the city.
