Fantastic location, great communication and very helpful team looking after the property, beautiful garden and the house is simply decorated with excellent amenities.

Scopello is gorgeous but it can be a little difficult to walk around because of the elevation changes so the location of this place so close to the beach was amazing. The room is in kind of a small gated neighborhood so it felt a little safer however unnecessary. The apartment is pretty spacious and better suited to a small family to get the full value. It was very clean, open, and comfortable. AC worked great, it had a large fridge and lots of kitchenware. The patio was beautiful with a large table to eat on and a charcoal BBQ. The balcony was nice with a decent view of the ocean however many trees and buildings in the way. The view of the mountains behind was better and very nice. The small town of Scopello was very nice and about a 20min walk but there was a yard near the town people were parking there cars in for free and walking just a few minutes the rest of the way. "La Tavernetta" restaurant was fantastic. We hiked the "Zingaro Reserve" which was an amazing way to spend the day. Make sure to get there early for the free public parking and to get a early start on the hike as it can take more than 7-8 hours to see everything and get some time in at one of the many beaches. If I were to come back to Scopello I would consider staying here again. Its a nice place but could be so much better if the things i mention below could be changed. I'd probably stay in Trapani next time.

I did not like having to meet in Castelemarre to pickup keys and follow behind a guide to the room. It added a lengthy stop to the trip. The additional costs (mentioned in ad) were annoying especially since you are charged for linens. Who travels with linens? The advertisement did not mention that this building actually has 3 other apartments which were booked during our stay. Our direct neighbors were a group of teenage girls and the other was a family with young kids so they got fairly noisy. The power went out at least 3-4 times. This is probably because of the other units drawing the same power but if not the system is pathetic since i was only using the AC and trying to cook a meal when it went out the first time. The first time it went out was the worst because I did not know where the main panel to the building was. the electrician came out and showed me where it was outside the building and showed me which breaker to flip if it happened again. Well, it did. When I tried washing clothes it flipped once and a couple other times for god knows what reason. To get to the top floor of the apartment you must walk an extremely narrow set of spiral stairs which is hard enough without carrying anything let alone your luggage. It was never mentioned to us that all the doors will lock behind you. The front door doesnt close unless it is locked but we soon found out the door to the balcony does. We shut the door behind us while hanging out on the balcony and realized it locked behind us. With no keys or phone, I was forced to climb over the wall and jump down to the main floor. After getting the keys i found out that I didnt even have the right key for the balcony door anyways. The garden hangout area with couch was very overgrown and buggy so we didnt hang out there. Checkout was annoying because of the main gate. We had to park the car at the top of the hill and then go back to leave the keys in the room.
