Villa Valmar Scopello

la posizione della villetta è fantastica a due passi dal borgo di Scopello. Il patio della villa è incantevole.

Non è fronte mare (è necessaria l'auto specialmente per famiglie con bambini) e un solo condizionatore non è sufficiente a rendere la temperatura della casa "fresca" anche perché si deve spegnere se si vuole accendere la vasca idromassaggio.

We spent 8 nights here and overall had a wonderful stay. The location is truly exceptional: the sea view, the terrace and the peaceful setting are the biggest strengths of this property. We used the barbecue and loved the outdoor shower. Having a rental car is definitely the key to enjoying the area, and this house is an excellent base for exploring Scopello, the Zingaro Reserve and Castellammare del Golfo. We liked little Scopello so much that we just stayed close. A few insider tips for future guests: (1) You can walk to Scopello village without taking the car. From the entrance of the property, walk up to the road, turn right for about 150 m, and there is an unmarked path on the right that leads directly up to the village. (2) There is also a beautiful little rocky cove for swimming just below the property. From the entrance, walk to the road and on the opposite side there is a very small, easy-to-miss passage leading down to the water. (3) In July it is essential to start early for the Zingaro coastal trail because it becomes extremely hot later in the day. (4) The two supermarkets in Scopello are surprisingly well stocked with fresh local products, cheese, meat, olives and excellent food for grilling. (5) If you want to visit the TONNARIA, make sure you reserve tickets (25€/person) online a couple of weeks before.

There were a few things missing and unclear at the beginning as we only had a self check-in, but Rosario, the owner, was very kind and responsive when contacted. He personally visited the property and made sure everything was alright. We will be back!

Everything was incredible. We loved watching the changing views of the sea and sky, and being able to walk through a field to get to Scopello. It was possible to walk to the nearest cove beach and others were a very short drive away. Sadly Zingaro remained closed following the July fires but that's just a reason to come back another time.

Everything was perfect.
