OPTIMIST

The host was very friendly and helpful. He was a very lovely and kind man. He helped us a lot and messaged us beforehand on WhatsApp answering our questions. We wanted to extend our stay but this place was fully booked so he organised us to stay somewhere else at the same price. He has created a folder full of lots of information and guidance. Room was spacious and had towels and shower gel. Shower was hot and powerful. The location was perfect - walkable to everywhere and lots nearby. It also felt very safe. Breakfast was great for additional 30,000. We were kindly given extra bread on one day. The jam made by hosts sister is wonderful.

We paid $5 to upgrade to an ac room, it wasn’t very powerful and was only really effective for the bed directly underneath it, not the whole room. WiFi also was not the strongest. I have not downgraded the score as I still think it was value for money and worth what you pay and I would still stay again but wanted to share ad wanted to be transparent.

Excellent stay, really friendly host, takes good care of his guests, spacious room, great value, in a local area with cheaper prices for food and drink, great breakfast provided for 30,000 with local fruits, egg and bread

Hospitality here is another level! Mr. Iskandar is a great person. He does everything he can to make your stay better. It is truly a family house!

Not much to be honest . With the very high review score and reviews we expected a lot more. It’s definitely a different place since these reviews were written.

False advertising is the 1st thing I would say. No garden to sit in , no kitchen to use. No fridge , charges for everything written in a book in the room. The owner was very friendly, over friendly to be honest, asking every time we saw each other if everything was ok. He has built a new room in the garden that has in my opinion destroyed the probably once good ambience . Breakfast was terrible, no tea , stale bread and worst of all served in the dusty grey dark garage. I presume before it was possible to sit in the garden . Water outages 3 times in 2 days. Beds unbelievably hard , no coffee machine or kettle in room as advertised. No where to boil water in the non existent kitchen. Overall a very disappointing experience while the host constantly explaining how experienced he was as a guest house owner.
