Really comfy apartment in a magical town.

Riomaggiore is a magical town that was one of my favorite places to visit. The apartment is pretty well-located close to the shops/restaurants but far enough way that it's quiet and calm. The apartment itself is well-kept up and very comfortable.

Not much. Be prepared to climb a lot, but that's all of Riomaggiore and Cinque Terre :D Riomaggiore's beach is pretty rocky, but you can swim in the harbour off the rocks which is fun.

Incredibly comfortable stay in Riomaggiore. Live like a local!!!

I cannot recommend Casa Castiglione enough! Edoardo was very responsive to communication and gave excellent recommendations for Riomaggiore. He met us in person for the garage & apartment. We used his garage which was the best part about staying in Riomaggiore, easy transport for our purchases! The apartment is a few minutes walk from the garage. Be aware, many stairs await your climb to the apartment but the stay is well worth it! Away from the crowds & noise, it is very peaceful besides the church bells in the mornings. The apartment was very clean, spacious enough and very comfortable, even the sofa-bed! The kitchen was well equipped along with ample cleaning supplies, toilet paper and hand soap. The bathroom has lots of lighting and space. The boiler fuse may need to be reset often for the shower during your stay but hot water is instant and abundant. We stayed in July with high temps but the evenings were cool enough to sleep comfortably without AC, there was a fan in the room if needed. Wifi is spotty but that is to be expected with the cement homes. The garden is up a set of stairs outside complete with a lemon tree & a nice view. We highly recommend drinks & dinner at Fuori Rotta, a small restaurant by the Church with a view of the sea. It is the only restaurant in the area that is quiet in the evenings with excellent, local ingredients prepared with the highest quality. La Cantina del Macellaio is also an excellent restaurant more focused on meats & high quality pasta dishes. The Focacceria, Pizza & Faina is excellent for takeaway. Drinks with a view at La Conchiglia. I Trogie in the bay is an excellent souvenir shop owned by a local. A private boat tour with Davide’s, Cinque Terre Adventure is a must. Hike from Corniglia- Vernazza for the best views and “easier” 1.5 hour hike & definitely stop at Ristorante Bar La Torre when you get to Vernazza! Incredible view and excellent food, win win!!!

Exceptional

Excellent location, very quiet area, away from the busy part of the town. There are several stairs, but not many and the location can be reached very easily. And then ... if you have problems with the stairs, you have nothing to do in Cinque Terre. A very beautiful terrace and also quiet.

Just a little observation. I mention from the beginning that everything is clean and well maintained. Just a tip, if you have tourists staying for a week, even more. It might be good to change at least once the linen and towels in this range, without asking. I do not think that this brings high additional costs, but it has a serious impact on the pension image. I hope you don't mind this suggestion.

The WiFi was not working, could be due to poor weather but the restaurant in town had WiFi. Also, the owner provided no coffee so bring your own.
