Wonderful stay near Ubud, peaceful, tranquil with great hosts and a beautiful property.

This was my second time and my fiancés first staying here. What’s not to love! Kevin and his family are such warm hearted welcoming people. The property is beautiful, tranquil and relaxing. The common area is very green with tropical plants and fruit trees. There is a koi pond with many koi fish just outside your bedroom with a small fountain which adds to the relaxing sounds. Also on the property are a few rescued kittens and her mama as well as a beautiful natured puppy, all of which are happy to come and sit with you while in the common area (they’re NOT a nuisance and they DO NOT try to enter your room) breakfast is included at the property and is a delicious meal consisting of eggs (how you like them) fresh fruit, tea and Bali coffee. There is a small fridge in the common area to get bottles of water, soft drinks and beers for additional costs (same or cheaper than circle k, pepito or other marts) we couldn’t recommend Kevin’s home stay anymore!

Lovely stay with fresh breakfast and a calm setting near Ubud

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very clean and the breakfast was a real treat with fresh fruit, good coffee and eggs made to order. The staff were kind enough to let me store my luggage before check-in, which made things much easier. Even though I booked a dorm room, I ended up having it all to myself, which was a nice surprise. The place is a little outside of Ubud center, but for me that worked out really well because it was quiet and peaceful while still being easy enough to get around. Overall, it felt welcoming, comfortable and a great value. I’d happily stay here again.

kind of warm hospitality that truly makes a difference

My stay was incredible. The attention from Kevi and Frisca was always kind, attentive, and very helpful with everything I needed. I traveled alone and felt safe, cared for, and supported the whole time, which made the experience even more special. The location is perfect for those who want to relax and get away from the chaos of Ubud’s center, but it’s still close enough to easily go out for a walk. The room is exactly as shown in the photos: spacious, bright, comfortable, and very cozy. Everything was spotless during my stay. I would definitely come back without hesitation. This place combines peace, comfort, and the kind of warm hospitality that truly makes a difference.

An amazingly relaxing atmosphere

We found it to be truly exceptional. The atmosphere is amazingly relaxing. We were in the room next to the fishpond and could watch the fishes. All the facilities felt even better in reality than they look in the pictures. Also the breakfast was great and the owner was very friendly, which made the two nights there a perfect experience.

The driver did not find the homestay and we needed to ask the people on the street. At arrival the was no staff present and to get somebody we needed to pass some barking dogs. Which is not optimal, if you are afraid of dogs.

Worst experience

We booked and paid in advance 14 nights but we ended up sleeping there only 2 nights, until we found another place to stay. The room was full full of mould and it smelled very very bad. The bathroom was very dirty and also full of mould. It was not possible to stay there because we didn t want to get sick. They also delete the bad reviews on google. In the pictures it looks good, but the reality is very cruel. The breakfast was decent, that s the only good thing about this hotel. I asked for refund and the owner said to talked with booking and booking said couldn t do anything because the owner was not responding. But that s also booking's fault because they let such kind of properties and owners use their services. The owner looked friendly until i asked about a refund. I din t asked for a full refund, asked for a 50% refund not to be rude with him, but unfortunately he didn t care at all. Very unprofessional at all

Perfect oasis

Peaceful oasis with the most delicious breakfast every morning. I came here to find peace and grateful for such beautiful gardens and fish pond right in front of my room. Priceless value for a cheap price.

The place is 3km away from the next (good) restaurant and 5km from the center of Ubud. As I traveled alone, it felt a bit isolated and remote. I moved to the center of Ubud. If you're looking for a nice quiet and quiet place, you will like it here

Had stayed for a few days previously and returned for my last few days in Ubud and Bali. Can't praise this place enough, amongst the most comfortable Hostel beds I have come across anywhere and breakfast from homegrown fruits thrown in for about $10 per night - excellent value. Attracts fine fellow travellers and the communal spaces are relaxing, attractively rustically decorated and conducive to making new friends. Family run, the hosts make you feel at home and ready to assist. They also support a great local charity initiative helping individuals within the community. All in all, a top place to sample an authentic slice of Bali life and Hospitality. Suit people who want to stay a bit out of the main touristic areas, about 15 minutes ride into Ubud main town via Grab/Gojek. Highly Recommended

Serene environment where you'll get wonderful sleep. The mattress was a nice and soft one and not the usual firm beds you get in Bali. The dorm room looks out into nice green plants. The bathroom is spacious. For the price, you even get breakfast. It is great value.

Kevin and his family are very lovely hosts. We booked for 2 nights in the beginning and extended up to 14 nights more. Breakfast and dinner where amazing! The room is very spacious as well as the bathroom and very very clean! The location is nice and quiet and it's just a short ride to Ubud. This is by far the best place we have stayed stayed in our travels. It was unforgettable and we were quiet sad when we said goodbye. Thank you again!

Very very nice place, away from noise and Ubud traffic. In the middle of a real Life and rise fields. Clean room and big bathroom in peaceful atmosfere. You ll wake up with the nature sound. The family, Kevin his wife and son are so kind. She cook very well, veg omelette for my breakfast was the the BEST ONE. Fresh fruit from family garden. The internet line is good everywhere. Possibility to rent motore bike You must come, I ll do again

Calm and authentic

But it s amazing place if you just want to be far from crouds in a very authentic balinese homestay with superfriendly family. I could involve into their very holy and interesting doings, whitch I w d never seen in any hostel in town. The place is calmfull and you even dont want to go anywhere. The host Kevin is unbeliveable active man in many ideas. I was happy to support his project to help children to be educated. I wish their new temple will help them a lot.

If you like to go around in the area, for walking its a bit far from everything. And no walkingplace for pedastrians.

Calm and relaxing homestay experience

Hands down the best breakfast pancakes we had in Bali. Excellent home-cooked meals for lunch and dinner, ingredients for which are mostly sourced from a nearby farm, also run by I Made - the extremely helpful host of this wonderful house (also happens to live next-door). Wonderful location, well outside the city limits (Ubud), surrounded mostly by picturesque fields. The property has a delightful garden/courtyard, with plenty of fruiting tress, and the soundtrack of calming, serene sounds of nature. A lovely place to come back to after a day in the crowded city centre. Generous, warm hosts.

Some travellers might find this to be a little too far out (a good 20-30 minutes away from the city centre by bike/scooter). The internet is also a bit fiddly, considering this is a more rural part of Ubud. Great if you are looking for less screen time. Not many restaurants/cafes nearby either.
