Stunning farm-house apartment in beautiful surrounds - great sauna!

This is the best possible place to stay to enjoy this region, or in our case, the Manschau Christmas markets. All I really wanted was somewhere nice to stay close to these incredible markets. What we got what a destination in its own right. I wish I lived closer as this surely would become a regular vacation for our family. It's so much bigger than it looks in the pics and is just so beautiful and comfortable. 10/10 - I hope we can come back one day.

The welcome was good and friendly. Visited last year and had not changed it’s excellent welcome,cleanliness and surroundings will use again with no second thoughts.

Comfortable, quiet, warm a perfect place to stay

My Wife and I have been staying here, every year, since 2017. It is well situated, warm (useful in October) and have everything we need for a perfect stay. The Hosts could not be more accommodating especially as I am now wondering around on crutches!

Friendly and heartwarming hosts. Property is simply gorgeous, everything from the exterior and the surroundings to the spacious interior. Peaceful secluded location, you could spend your whole holiday just relaxing at the property.

Spacious and quiet location. Very friendly hosts. Clean and comfortable throughout. Fully furnished. You will need a car as there is nothing nearby however, the beautiful old city of Monschau is10 minutes away.

Quiet peaceful, well appointed and VERY good value

I have been holidaying in this house/flat for the last 5 years. It just gets better and better. There is NOTHING that my Wife and I needed and a lot that we didn't know that we needed (Netflix). The Washing Machine and Dryer meant that we let with clean clothes. We will be back!

German Pillows.....20 years of trying to use them and I still can't... The location was truely perfect for my Wife and I (away from the bright lights). If going out is your thing, it is some 5Km to Monschau and surrounding towns/villages

Very welcoming owners. The house can easily accommodate 6 people. The area is for relaxing. Monchau which is a lovely town is just a 5 minutes’ drive. Thanks for your kind hospitality.

We had a lovely time!

The hosts were very warm and welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. We were even provided with bicycles to ride on the Vennbahn. We were also given a little arrival gift and a little bag with snacks for the way home. The place is not new, so do not expect any fancy new equipment. It is a solid and well managed holiday flat with charme and the hosts go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The kitchen is well equipped, maps are available and the highlight of the place is - despite its excellent location - the private sauna that awaits the traveling couple after a long day out in the High Fenns. We will happily come again.

The most amazing place for a lovely holiday

The host was super kind and the accommodation was really clean. Moreover, there were two lovely cats which always welcomed us whenever we entered the house. The place was really quiet, so we had a lovely holiday there.

The location is in somewhere you need a car. you definitely need a car to go to a city centre. Also, the books, games and pamphlets in the accommodation were mostly in German.

Excellent, wonderful, most enjoyable!!!

We were 3 adults (bother with sisters) staying in the 'Brettbaum' apartment. We each had our very own cozy bedroom, all of them upstairs, together with a WC and the living and dining room, with comfy balcony. A super comfy kitchen, with all the pots and pans you will ever need! + seating and dining space outside. All this in one of the most beautiful locations in the Eiffel, with lots of well signaled walks just around the corner ... so, what's not to like ....

Geweldige week gehad en nog wel in de sneeuw!

Gastvrij, attent, prima voor elkaar. Fijne bedden, alles wat je nodig hebt ( en meer) aanwezig, fijne sauna.

Ik heb geen negatieve punten, al zijn wij niet zo veel eisende mensen. .

Weihnachtsmarkt Besuch

Wir waren mit 4 Frauen von Freitag bis Sonntag im Haus Sonnentau um den Weihnachtsmarkt in Monschau zu besuchen. Wir wurden hingebracht und hatten daher kein Auto vor Ort. Die Bushaltestelle ist vor der Tür , fuhr aber am Samstag nur nach Sommerplan, also gar nicht. Die Wanderwege in die Altstadt sind sehr schön,aber bis dahin musste man Teilstrecken an der Landstraße entlang wandern. Wir haben uns im Vorfeld bei der Familie Brandenburg erkundigt . Wir waren begeistert von dem Haus, es war alles da,gemütlich und sauber! Ein riesengroßes Lob a die Vermieter und besonderes Lob an Herrn Brandenburg .Er hat sich freiwillig angeboten uns hinzubringen und abzuholen. Ohne Ihn hätten wir keine Möglichkeit gehabt am Abend wieder zurück zum Haus zu kommen. Es sei denn wir hätten eine Nachtwanderung gemacht. Vielen Dank nochmal dafür. Es war wunderschön!!!

Toll um mal rauszukommen und abzuschalten

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Die Wohnung mit der Sauna war perfekt ausgestattet und sehr gemütlich. Es hat uns nichts gefehlt, es ist sehr naturnah und ruhig. Perfekt auch für Familien mit Kindern. Wir konnten das Wochenende nutzen um abzuschalten und aufzutanken. Wir würden es definitiv weiter empfehlen 🙂👍

Drie ruime slaapkamers met ruime bedden, zeer schoon, keuken zeer uitgebreid met een magnetron, oven, waterkoker, kookplaat, thee, koffie, filterzakjes, afwasmachine en afwasblokjes, aan alles is gedacht

Super tolle Wohnung

Eine sehr schöne und ruhige Wohnung. Wir haben uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr nett und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung liegt etwas abseits von den Ortschaften, aber alles sehr schnell erreichbar mit dem Auto. Vor der Türe ist sogar eine Bushaltestelle. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Ankommen und Wohlfühlen

Sehr freundlicher Kontakt zu den Vermietern. Optimal ausgestattete grosse Wohnung; sogar an einen Mückenschutz wurde gedacht. Sehr gute und sichere Unterstellung der Fahrräder. Ruhige Alleinlage am Waldrand. Die Wohnung kann für einen erholsamen Urlaub absolut empfohlen werden.

TV zet had slechts Duitse zenders, terwijl we dicht bij de Belgische grens aan zaten. Dat zou een verbeterpunt kunnen zijn.

Super relaxed en luxe.

De ruimte, de voorzieningen, echt alles was aanwezig van koffiezetten tot koken en vaatwasser. Goed bereikbaar en hele mooie omgeving om zowel te wandelen alsd te fiesten. Voor het fietsen wel even een stukje dalen en klimmen, maar dan sta je binnen 20 min bij de VennBahn: kilometers redelijk vlak heerlijk fietsen. Ook buiten zitten kun je rustig en privated. Stoelen met kussentjes, alles is er.
