Monte Sao Pedro - Villa

La piscina privada, la tranquilidad del lugar y la comodidad de las camas. Tiene un cuarto lavadero detrás de la cocina , con una excelente lavadora. La limpieza se realizó a mitad de la estancia de forma muy correcta, reponiendo toallas y sabanas y limpiando toda la casa. Muy recomendable alojarse aquí.

El patio tiene muchas grietas que hay que vigilar porque puede ser por hundimiento del terreno. La piscina no tiene ducha exterior. Y la ducha del baño no tiene enganche para sujetarla en la pared, por lo que hay que usarla siempre sujetándola con la mano. Vendría muy bien un pequeño horno de sobremesa. Aviso! La cafetera es de cápsulas.

Loved the pool - would be chilly outside the summer, but perfect for August. Comfortable beds, almost all the essentials we needed, towels replaced part way (unexpectedly!), fast WiFi, all very clean. Made a great base to explore Praia da Luz, Lagos and the western Algarve too. Despite the problems listed below, we had a very good stay.

The biggest issue was the inaccurate listing - we had booked in part because the villa had an oven (shown in photos, and listed in facilities). However, it turned out that the kitchen had been renovated at the start of 2023 and the oven removed. The updated kitchen is obviously a bonus but I can't believe the listing hasn't been updated months later - and is still incorrect despite having highlighted it to them last week. They did their best to solve the issue and find us a small portable oven, which helped, but it's not great that anyone booking is STILL getting the wrong information. There was an odd mix of items in the kitchen too - eg a great selection of knives, but no scissors, lots of plates but only two chipped bowls, for example. Other things to be aware of: the shower is also a handheld one, and there's a bad smell of drains in the bathroom during the summer months. The loungers also look very tired and faded, although they worked well. A car is also essential to get around: there's almost nothing in walking distance, so if you don't have your own transport, you'd need taxis.

The clean private pool, the spaciousness, the privacy. The very nice staff & the location. We were even permitted to check out later. Everything was perfect.

We liked everything

It was a clean house, tidy, spacious.

Not as private as we thought (not noticable on the pictures), since its open to the road. No airco in the bedrooms and the option to blind the windows in the kitchen and the hallway would be better. But with some creativity we solved it. :)
