Everything was amazing! Staying at Castaway felt like home. Virginia, the owner, is one of the best hosts I’ve ever met. She makes sure everyone feels comfortable and has a great time. The hostel itself is very cozy, clean, and has everything you need. I definitely will come back!

Castaway has the warm and welcoming energy of a true home, and throughout my stay I felt surrounded by genuine care. Honestly, it’s the best place I’ve ever stayed, and Virginia and her family are the best hosts I’ve ever encountered. Castaway embodies what hospitality should really be about: a joyful exchange between a host and a guest, done in a truly humane way <3
P.S. The beds are very comfy, the kitchen is amazing and always kept clean, and the breakfast is 10/10.

Loved how clean everything was. Virigina came everyday and set up a beautiful and filling breakfast for us. She is very polite and caring. I loved that they changed my towel everyday. Pedro was also always responsive. For example, we didn’t have a wooden spoon to use for non stick pan and I asked him and he brought it right away.
The place is very well equipped if you wanna cook. I am here to surf so I had all the place to hang my surfboard and wetsuit. I could also rent bike for cheap with a bike rack which was very handy.
10/10 recommended. I will stay again.
