    We had a wonderful stay at Valero Grand Suites. The staff were all warm, friendly, and accommodating throughout our visit. A special thank you to Yasmeen at the front desk, who remembered to ask how our fun run went. That small gesture made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The hotel also surprised us with medal-shaped cookies after the race, which was such a thoughtful touch and a lovely way to celebrate the event. It's these little details that make a stay memorable. Thank you to the entire team for your excellent hospitality. We would be happy to stay here again and highly recommend the hotel to others.

    My 3rd time to stay here. I love the convenience. Near to everything. Very big room and comfy beds! Except that their bathtub seems old. But still my fave place to stay in Makati.

    I stayed there back in 2023, initially for a two-week stay I booked through Agoda, then for another week at a better rate from the hotel. Off and on, I stayed there five times. When I arrived on 28 May, I had booked the same room type as in 2023, but the room was very small and dominated by the Queen-sized bed. It seems that a Queen room is denoted by the size of the bed and not the size of the room. I spoke with the receptionist, and her only option for me was a junior suite with a lounge area, which was an additional cost. I tried to get a discount, but the receptionist would not give in, and I asked to see the Front Office Manager, as she had given me the better local rate in 2023, but she was on leave. Tbh, had I not already paid for the room, I would have walked out and found another place to stay. When the Front Office Manager came back from her leave, she remembered me. I explained the issues I had experienced with the room booking, and she seemed genuinely concerned, but by then it was too late, and I was leaving. The Junior Suite I had was ok, but it had pretty sparse cutlery and crockery for two people, a couple of pots and pans, a very tired-looking chopping board, and a dull knife in the kitchen drawer. No chance of cooking anything other than instant noodles, as there were no kitchen utensils. I did not try the breakfast I had tried back in 2023, and it was not to my liking. It was local coffee, not USA-style coffee, and the fruit juice was a powdered drink laced with so much sugar you could stand a spoon in it. Meanwhile, two doors down at the more expensive Citadines Salcedo Makati apartments, which is way more expensive but offers a choice of good local and western breakfasts, I ate there on a couple of Sundays, and the food was ok.
