We arrived at 3pm after giving them a heads up that we would be one hour late. When we got there, the 2 rooms we booked were not ready yet. The staff were kind and helpful, but not having our rooms ready upon our arrival is not acceptable. Disappointed by our experience. The beds and pillows were comfy though. Decor of the room was quite plain and there was no comfy chair. No hairdryer in the bathroom.

The suite is big and comfy with all that you would need provided already. However, our wifi doesn’t work once you enter the room and there is bad reception so we can’t even use our cell data. If you it is your first time here, it can get confusing to get to the hotel lobby since it starts on the higher floor and the reception is tucked away instead of being the first thing you see when the elevators open. There are also no directions/map so you’ll have to explore some. I also chose a suite with lounge access but was not able to use the lounge because it was only open for access for a limited time. If you have experienced lounge access in the other Seda hotels where you have privilege to check-in and out and have exclusive breakfast access in the lounge, please manage your expectations, as this isn’t the same experience here. There’s no premium to it so the one with no lounge access might be a more reasonable choice. Last, when we ordered in-room dining and added a breakfast, I checked with the staff if they can just get the receipt at checkout, which they confirmed; however, when I checked out the staff said that they don’t do that. I ended up with no receipt for all the additional purchases.

I only titled this review as could be better because I have tried Seda Vertis and I loved that hotel. Seda Makati is completely different from Seda Vertis in so many ways, room size and layout, bathroom, convenience of the location, and breakfast buffet. Seda Makati is not bad, just not comparable to Seda Vertis

I booked three rooms through Agoda, with each room having a maximum capacity of two adults. When making the reservation, I selected 1 guest per room. My understanding was that, since I had already paid for the rooms and the stated maximum capacity was 2 adults per room, I would be able to fully utilize the room and its included benefits within that capacity. However, upon check-in, I was informed that I had booked for only 1 person per room and that I would need to pay an additional fee for the second occupant. I asked why the hotel could not simply adjust the occupancy, especially since I was clearly informing them that there would be 2 adults staying in each room. I was told that they could not make the adjustment because the booking was made through Agoda. I decided not to pay the additional fee. As a result, the second guest was also not allowed to avail of the breakfast included with the room. I understand that hotels have policies, but I believe there should also be some reasonable flexibility, especially when the room itself has a stated maximum capacity of 2 adults and the guest has already paid for the room. I was not asking for an additional room or to exceed the maximum occupancy. I simply expected to be able to fully utilize what I had already paid for within the room’s stated capacity. If the number of guests entered in Agoda directly affects the room’s included benefits and results in an additional charge, this should be made much clearer during the booking process. The hotel should also be able to provide a reasonable solution at check-in rather than simply saying that nothing can be adjusted because the reservation was made through Agoda. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, particularly because the issue could have been handled with better communication and a little more flexibility.
