Excellent location and staff. Apartment was comfortable, clean and quiet.

It was an excellent location to explore the historic center of Mexico City. Despite being a busy area, we heard no street noise at all during our stay (which included New Year’s Eve celebrations). The staff had set up a pack n play for our baby and the apartment had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Could use pull-down style shade in the bedrooms instead of blinds. There was a lot of light coming in at night.

A great choice for a multi night stay in Mexico City’s historic centre

There was lots of space for the whole family. The first bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite, and the second bedroom has two queens. The bedrooms are quite large with lots of light. The living space is also a good size. It was perfect choice for a multi night stay - everyone had their own private place to relax. The location is also great. We were very happy with our choice to stay in the historic centre. The front desk is staffed 24x7, and the property felt very safe.

The bathrooms are a bit tired, although everything was nice and clean.

Great location, close to centro histórico, palacio de bellas artes, museums and restaurants. Very quiet too.

It’s not a turn off, but hot water was not available for long for showers. Maybe I didn’t know how to properly set the shower to warm water? But I tried.

The location was perfect. The balconies and the view were beautiful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming.

It will be a good idea to make a handicap pass ramp. It was a little difficult to get in for my mom, she is 86 years old and she has some issues with her legs.

Quality accommodation at an excellent location

The apartment (king studio) had a seperate kitchen and offered plenty of space for two people. This apartment complex is modern, very clean, located in a safe area within an easy 10 min. walking distance from the city centre (Zocalo). The internet connection was slow at times but OK in general. The bed was a bit soft for our taste. There is a 7-Eleven a few steps from the complex.

Not a great experience

Good location for the historic centre.

Didn't realise till we got there but we got charged ~4 times usual price because of the weekend we were there. Tried to cancel but they wouldn't let us. Wasn't worth the $ with things not working, falling off, next to nothing in the kitchen. We argued with the owner and it really put a downer on our whole experience.

The place was beautiful and nicely kept, had a balcony view to the street and it was beautiful. Loved how close it was to everything. Surprisingly we managed not having air conditioning, the weather was in the 80's during the day and the nights were cool. The hospitality was just great. Definitely worth it.

knit picking here: a little spartan, if you wanted to cook at all or relax or socialize. However on this trip, we didn’t, and the space worked very well.

Central location with a great staff

The location is great. It is a 7-minute walk to the Main Plaza in Mexico City. There are a few museums and historical buildings close to the apartment. The host was great and helpful. The room was clean. It is a basic space with a small kitchen.

Great location right across the street from the national art gallery and a short walk to most other places of interest in the historic district. The room was large, newly renovated, spotless and quiet. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

No deadbolt on the inside of the door. First hotel I've ever stayed at without one.

Good self catering option

We booked our stay and arrived within an hour - the staff were very flexible and helpful. Really good location and most importantly, it was quiet!

The price seemed quite high for such a basic place, but we were only 2 people and it could have accommodated 4 /6

Beautifully appointed apartment, walking distance to all major historic sights.

Wonderful cafes, restaurants, shopping and museums are within walking distance. The Zocalo is a 15 minute walk.

The hot water takes a long time to reach the shower, then it comes out too hot. After a minor adjustment you can make it cooler, but the hot water only last for about 2 minutes. The apartments do not have air conditioning, but since it was November, it was never hot. In fact, it was cool at night and we had to shut the windows.

Amazing apartment in central Mexico city

Great place near city Centre, easy accessibile by taxi. The apartment was spacious and clean, and the staff very helpful for all the duration of the stay. When we had a small issue, they resolved it immediately. Bonus points for their laundry service as well.

Bait and switch: Price was different at checkout from advertised. Was informed after I checked in of a walkthrough to be performed at checkout so I would be charged for damage. Very stressful.

Great location and very helpful staff

The unit was beautifully clean and the manager and other staff were extremely helpful. One of our party fell sick and they were able to advise us on a doctor and pharmacy. They also gave us information on a city wide earthquake drill. Nothing was too much trouble...excellent staff! Thank you! Location was brilliant too. Beds were very comfy. We stayed 6 nights.

Needs a kettle to make tea. Could have a reverse cycle air conditioning unit to have good temperature at will. The couches are a little short in length for us. Would have been great to have cable or Foxtel or something for English speakers. Minor suggestions that we worked around but would have been a perfect stay if we had these elements.

Quiet place in the heart of Bellas Artes

There are two large bedrooms, and a very large living area. Everything in the apartment is new and very clean. You enter the building and suddenly you are in a quiet and restful private space. The location is close to the Palace of Fine Arts and many other museums. A great place to stay if you like beautiful old architecture. The proprietor and staff are very responsive and helpful.

Exceptional

Everything was excellent! We loved the location. If you want to stay in “centro histórico” it is the best place to stay. You can walk for 10 minutes and you are in Madero. From there you can go to “El Zócalo” or “Palacio de Bellas Artes”. There are theaters near the property. You also have convenience stores near by. Just neat to the property you have an OXXO, you have a “cremeria” where you can buy nice cheese (I recommend Oaxaca and Panela) you have a small “Torteria” where you can eat delicious tortas and you also have a Seven Eleven. It is also very near to “Calle de las Novias” so if you want to buy special things for your wedding or baptism, first communion, quinceañera that is the best place to go. Like all big cities you need to be awear of your purse and don’t wear flashy things if you go to Calle de las Novias. The staff in Casa Donceles is so NICE. We definitely are going to return to Casa Donceles. They made us feel like home. They even lent us a wheelchair for my mom that has difficulties to walk. I loved the place, loved the staff and highly recommend the Casa Donceles! My real review score is 11 it exceeded our expectations!
