Well prepared flat for a short stay.

The flat had everything you need for your stay in Marseille. Clean, comfortable beds, decent shower. Very good check in service.

I didn’t like that our flat had a poor out look into other buildings. Made us feel a-bit closed in. We however, don’t spend much time in our accommodations. Please note- The flat wasn’t advertised as a flat with a view, so we weren’t misguided.

Central but quiet with all what you need.

The staff, location and facility were very good. We were really central but in the back of the building so not noisy at all. Very quiet and relaxed.

The door panel to enter the entry door code was very hard to press, but they knew about it and it should be replaced they told us. Tv options were limited if you don't speak french.

Stay in marseille old port

Well placed , nice area , very comfortable bed

The room, had a sort of musty smell, so the windows have to be kept open all the times to ensure a good ventilation of the room. However , if we leave the windows open at night we get swarmed by mosquitoes. The ceiling is covered with marks from dead mosquitoes crushed by previous guests. It should be cleaned up.

Location, value & accommodation were nice.

The mattress was too worn and would prevent me from booking another stay there . The pillows were horrible. Not the same texture and not enough of them . A couple of more towels would’ve been nice for the amount of days we were there. It’s not our job to wash them. Management is not available to fix problems on a weekend.

The location was ideal.

The host was kind and friendly and on time to meet with us. The kitchen was really useful. We really liked having a security gate to access the apartment.

There was a lot of dust on picture frames and ceiling lights. The pillows were dirty and yellow. I would recommend buying new ones and adding two additional ones. We had to use our clothes as an extra pillow between our knees.

Fouad was very helpful in organizing our stay, and was always available for whatever we needed!

The windows were very thin, so we could hear all the outside noise. There was construction very early in the morning that woke us up, but that was not the fault of the hosts. The traffic noise was loud.

Disappointing Stay – Only the Location Was Worth It

The location was the only worthy aspect of it.

The only redeeming quality of this property is its location. Beyond that, our stay was unfortunately disappointing and far from welcoming. The room was not clean, with a noticeable layer of dust throughout. For a five-day stay, the amenities were shockingly poor: no proper shower gel or shampoo provided (what was there seemed diluted water), and only one towel per person with no replacements or cleaning offered. We were given just two coffee pods for the entire five days which is not exactly hospitable. The rules were also extremely rigid: we were expected to clean thoroughly before leaving: emptying bins, clean the kitchen, clearing the fridge, which makes one wonder if they even do proper cleaning themselves between guests. Despite the property being clearly available (we checked online), our request to extend the checkout time by a mere hour or two with additional payment was flatly refused with no flexibility or courtesy. Prior to check-in, we attempted to request an earlier arrival (1.30pm instead of 4pm) and received no response until we followed up, only to be met with a flat refusal. Overall, it felt like guests were treated as a nuisance rather than welcomed. We won’t be returning.

Great location and friendly host

Location was great. It was nice to have tea and coffee as well as small things in the kitchen like trash bags, a couple of dishwasher tablets and oil.

The TV was not working and the windows didn't have a net against mosquitos.

Comfy stay in a well equipped apartment

We stayed at Chez Nous for a short vacation of 4 days. The location is perfect: well located on the Vieux Port. The apartment is smaller than expected (it looks way bigger in the pictures), however, it is well equipped with everything you may need for a short stay: pots and pans, cutlery, a small fridge, dishwasher, a coffee machine and the basics to cook (oil, salt, sugar, tea and coffee). The host is friendly and available: we had a problem with our keys and he promptly arrived to help us. Only flaws: the mattress is quite uncomfortable and there’s a weird smell every time you come back in the room, we couldn’t figure out what caused it but it disappeared with the opening of a window.

Pretty good

Good Location, Safe, Check in was not complicated but we had to wait like 15 minutes even though we communicated all the time what time we were supposed to arrive and we were in a rush. The guy who checked us in was really kind though and check in was quick.

Cleanness:/ Dead flies sticking all over the wall which is pretty annoying to see.

Great comfortable apartment right in the heart of old town but very quiet.

We were met at the property by a lovely lady who showed us around the apartment and use of appliances. Dishwasher and laundry soap supplied. Very clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.

Very minor, but had read in other reviews that the windows in kitchen/lounge look out onto neighbours courtyard so kept curtain closed.

The accommodation is in a good location, in the old harbour, and you can walk to the beach (Plage des Catalans, 10-15 min). It's a short walk to the Palais du Pharo (10 min) - nice place with a view. Coffee, tea, dishwasher refills were available in the accommodation. Overall it was a fine accommodation.

I stayed in the Studio Apartment - Cesar. It was good, you just have to take into account that the windows lead to a relatively small courtyard (see photo). So don't count on the view from the windows!

Damia the hostess met us right on time at the entrance to the building. She had very good English and went through all the steps we needed to know for our stay. She was very helpful.

We required two pillows each, there were spares in the wardrobe but they were very discolored and old looking and there were no pillow cases to cover them. It made the bedding seem dirty.

Nice stay in the Marseille

Good, well equipped kitchen. Comfy bed and duvet. Good A/C in the room. Dishwasher and washing machine, and also cleaning supllies provided.

The army of moskitos attacked us in the nights! Host might have provided some anti-moskito supplies. Very noisy area, the noise from the hotel ventilation system right below our window, and also loading/unloading at 6AM. No any shelve for the shampoos in the shower cabin. A lack of electrical sockets in the room.

brilliant' Marseille has a great vibe with character, beautiful buildings just great

We loved the location just tucked away behind buildings that were on the main road of the historic port, so there was no noise also near to everything ,buses metro boat trips restaurants bars etc.it was really comfy.very secure

There were steps up to the main door and steps up to the apartment we were fine but could be a problem for people who can't manage steps.

Very nice and clean appartment, french charm, beautiful terrace. The bed sofa was surprisingly comfortable and big enough for 2 adults.

The kitchen is quite poorly equipped, there are only pans, dishes, bowls etc. but no spices, olive oil etc. (Eventhough it has a toaster, microwave, tea cooker etc.

Very pleasant

The service was very good, host Valentine is polite and available at al times. The room is clean and tidy and all necessities are at hand.

My room was looking at the neighboring building, so I didn't have much light and couldn't keep the windows and blinds open.

Very disappointing

The person who met me to show me the apartment was excellent and very helpful.

The description of the facilities provided in the apartment was not accurate. There was supposed to be a washing machine in the apartment. There wasn't. There was a washing machine two floors below me shared by all the apartments in the building. This is absurd. I also discovered that the rack provided for drying clothes was unusable. It was held together with a piece of a black plastic refuse sack. I emailed the company managing the apartment on two separate occasions, sending photos but got no response whatsoever. I have since received an email from the company asking me to say how my stay was and have re stated the issues I had with the apartment. I'm not holding my breath. As I was travelling for a month I chose apartments on the basis that they would have a washing machine. Because of the failure of the company to respond to me I could not recommend this apartment to anyone.
