Great hotel, comfortable and clean

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel in a fantastic location. It’s so close to the train station that it’s practically the same building, but the hotel is very quiet and you can’t hear the trains from it. I was able to get out of bed, check out, and arrive at the train station all within about fifteen minutes. There is a small mall between the station and the hotel where you can get groceries, coffee, and other necessities. Could not be easier. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel chain again.

You have to buy drinks and snacks at the front desk and they seemed unusually expensive. A small bottle of water is $4. I would prefer a vending machine. Also, you need to put the key card into a box on the wall to make the lights work in the room, but this isn’t explained at any point. You have to use the card to make the elevator work. No one tells you this. It also took me about ten minutes to figure out how to turn off the lights above the bed. The light switch is hidden above the desk but under the shelf and you can’t see it unless you’re bending under it. These aren’t serious issues, but it would be helpful if they explained a bit more for people who haven’t been there before.

The Ryanair of hotels

Location was close to train station which is why I chose the hotel.

I arrived an hour earlier than the 3pm check-in time and was advised a room was available on the 6th floor for immediate check-in, for a fee. Now, while the fee was not a lot, it was the principle of not paying extra for a room I had already paid for so I chose to wait the extra hour. I have never encountered this before and have always been given a room if one was available prior to check-in. The room was very small, which I anticipated but the floor had not been vaccummed very well and the bed was not very comfortable.

We decided to rent bicycles from the hotel. The staff gave me the key to the bike lock, and directions to the bike storage. The key did not work in the lock. Second time the key didn't work. The third time the staff went down with me.

A revolution in budget travel, how to combine budget with style and grace. Amazing location.

I really liked this place, they had underground storage for my bike (I was cycling touring to Norway) free of charge. It is an awesome location where you can walk to all the most interesting things in Aarhus. I think the rooms are great, very nice concept in between an Ibis room and a japanese capsule. I would stay at one of these in other cities if I see one. Breakfast was also surprisingly good. Staff were down to chat and laugh, even though they were serious Dutch :)

I would just add a fan to the rooms, and then if I stayed again I would stay in a higher floor. But that isn't really too much to complain about.

Price and location are unbeatable

Connected rooms for 4 people, was handy to communicate and move around between rooms. Cool view form the windowsill, lots of confortable seating area near reception, can probably play boardgames etc.

Amazing place to stay!

There was enought space that we could open both our luggages at the same time. The shower had glass door so the rest of the bathroom floor was not always wet. The bed was confortable and we slept very well. Near a lot of restaurant and even a cinema.

It took me a moment to understand we had to put our room card into a reader to be able to turn the lights on in the bathroom and the entrance.

It is a simple room, with the bare minimum as all the WakeUp ones - don’t expect a minibar fx, but the bed is comfortable, the room looks nice and the location is perfect!! price vs what you get is really good

Room very basically equipped (no cup or glass to drink some tap water out of, no mat to step onto when coming out of the shower, which made the floor of the whole room wet and dangerously slippery). Astonishingly bad coffee at breakfast.

Pleasant

That was by far the weirdest bathroom solution that I have ever encountered. All made of glass. It was interesting and it worked. The room was ok, the tables and the dustbin had some interesting design. There was a nice view from the hotel room. The biggest plus of this hotel was probably the fact that it was very quiet. The staff were very helpful and were available every morning I went to buy coffee at 5 am. They replied all questions with regard to bus/transportation/locations. The elevators were surprisingly quick. The numbers of the room doors were very big and visible, well done! There were carpets in the hallways.

I had to take my garbage out. The cleaning lady does not pop in. Since the room was not very big, the full bin became the focus. The bed was a bit hard as well as the pillow. Unrelated to the hotel: The bus 925x serves only the designated flights. It will not take you on board if you decide to go earlier to the airport. And the taxi to Aarhus airport costs 750 DKK. You do not want to experience that, trust me. I learned it the hard way. So dear traveler, lie, lie, lie about your destination if you want to get to the airport on time. Travel agencies recommend being at the airport at least two hours prior to boarding, but the bus will board you just 1 hour prior to boarding.
