Beautiful Apartment great for a longer stay visit

Great apartment with excellent facilities would be great for a longer stay. Close to everything.

Towels and sheets are not included in the booking fee. We also had not dishwasher detergent or kitchen towels to dry dishes and host wanted all dishes washed and put away. We only received 2 bath towels not bath mat or hand towels. It’s those little things that would have made it a perfect stay otherwise

Enjoyable!

Location! Quiet but can easily walk to all the action of cassis and the calanques. Having easy on site parking was great! A bit of a hassle to get the key so allow extra time. Owner very responsive. Great shower.

Extra time to get key. Having to pay extra for sheets- not sure why that’s a “thing” in France! No sea view but nice vineyard Mountain View.

Disappointing

I first asked if I could come early, they said yes, then they made us wait and did not answer the phone for 45 minutes in 39c. The man who did finally come, did not speak english. They also asked for a 300 euro deposit in cash on the spot. Through Booking they notified me it was going to be a 600 euro deposit, that should be a built in service on booking, no, but to ask for that much? really? They also charged 20 euro for bedding and towels, which is ridiculous, and the bedding came, and there were NO pillow cases, but and extra bed sheet that we used instead. I sent a text to the owner, but received no pillow cases or reply, and still they charged me the 20 euro... and it is a trek up and out of the port to get there...

I travel often and regularly book accomodation from booking.com. In most cases, I rate the properties. Almost all of my reviews are AT LEAST 7/10. I rarely write a review/critic and have never written an extensive one. But in this case I have to do it to protect the people who maybe want to book here. THIS IS A VERY VERY BAD IDEA! The apartment is relatively nice and refurbished. But the owner is always abscent. If you are in France, maybe you can meet/contact Manuel Macron or Kylian Mbappe but not the owner of the house. That was, of course, not a big problem. At least not the biggest one. We arrived because of a plane delay at 23:00. We had to receive the key from a letterbox in Cassis. That was also not a big problem and to be honest, in booking.com is clearly written that check in is until 19:30. But what followed was a real disaster. Before we arrive, we took an email written in french, that the house has no towels and bed sheets. I did not see/read that (I have to admit, I am not the guy who reads all the rules or emails before I book an accomodation), but also if I would, I wouldn' t had understood anything, because I do not speak French!! So, no towels and bedsheets on the first day. The next day, I tried to call her, if we could rent some from her. I read all the reviews in booking.com (finally) and a former customer wrote you can rent bedsheets and towels for €20. We called three times and sent a message but she has never answered or called back. At the end, we bought some! And finally happened that!!! On the day of departure her father (?) knocked persistently on the door at 07:45. Unannounced!! We were sleeping of course at that time. We were on holidays, people! and anyway we are not the type of tourists, who wake up at 05:30 to enjoy the sunrise and climb mountains. He did not speak English, but with a bewildering body language, he tried to explain us, that he wanted to prove that everything was still in place!!!

Superb

L'aiglon apartment is a small jewell. The hosts have furnished it better than their own house. It has everything you need. The location either is good. Ten minutes walking there is the port and the beach of Cassis. At last there is a comfortable free parking.

Nous avons attendu 45 minutes pour avoir les clés de l’appartement et ce, quand nous les avions avisé la veille de notre heure d’arrivée
