Excellent

The food at the hotel was simply exceptional so much choice and of excellent quality. The staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. The location gave a little issue as the metro did not run to the vicinity. Taxis were easy to come by but were always trying to charge extortionate rates.

The hotel facilities are somewhat outdated. Before arrival I specifically verified sofa bed availability at our suite and received no response via message. Booked suite with a sofa bed. On arrival it turned out the sofa was not a bed. However, we were provided with an extra bed after some hassle.

Pleasant, but the room was not good value.

Friendly staff, nice pool and beach area, nice common areas.

Our room, at $2,500 AED per night, was not up to the standard of a 5 star hotel. It was listed on the website as 'deluxe', but was in fact the poorest grade of room in the hotel. The carpets were worn and stained, the drainage around the in-bath shower was very poor, and the double room consisted of twin beds pushed together. The hotel was nice, but the room presented very poor value.

Pools were freezing cold. The kids pool was a section of the lazy river which was too cold to use. Hotel could invest in revamping the lazy river and kids pool. Drinks and shops were very expensive. No drinks provided at dinner

The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful, which made for a pleasant start to the day.

The room was advertised as a Superior Room, but I honestly could not see anything superior about it. It was located on the 3rd floor and only offered a larger bed – perhaps this would be considered “superior” in Dubai… The room itself felt old and outdated. There was a noticeable musty smell, mainly coming from the very old carpet, which clearly needs replacement. Overall, the room was simply worn out and far from modern or well maintained. In general, the stay was okay, but I would not choose this hotel again. This was my third visit to Dubai, and unfortunately this hotel was both the most expensive and the worst one I have stayed at.

Would not now rebook

I have stayed on so many occasions at Dukes previously and have always enjoyed and loved staying there.

Apparently the hotel is now under new management or ownership and the experience was unfortunately wholly different on this occasion on so many different levels so would not now go back. It has lost its authenticity and attention to detail and it feels like a downgraded version of its former self sadly.

Very old rooms. Bathrooms need to be renewed urgently. Very small bathrooms. Cleanliness was at low level. Infinity pool was actually a pool on the beach 500m from the hotel. Definetely not a 5* hotel. We wanted to check out but we weren't offer any refund. They offered us free upgrade but the level was the same as 3* hotel

Advertised as entertainment even booked the Indian for the Bollywood night as advertised while there but when asked staff they knew Nothing about it When we stayed previously we were able to take half board as breakfast plus lunch OR dinner which suited us this was no longer available when we arrived even tho the new owners had emailed to tell us the terms of our existing booking wouldn’t change

Disappointed

The hotel has an absolutely amazing location — right next to the mall and a park, perfect for a nice walk. Plus, this area has the best beach on the Palm, crystal clear water and a beautiful, gentle entrance. The location is simply outstanding!

The hotel has really gone downhill. The breakfasts are extremely poor — no salmon, only one type of jam. Dinner is very poorly served, not even basic napkins for your lap. The staff checked us into a lower room category and insisted it was correct, saying they were fully booked, even though rooms were still available on all platforms for the same dates. There are no vanity kits or any essential items in the bathroom. Overall, very disappointing experience.

Overall Ok but not intending to go back.

1) The property, is in a perfect location 2) the lazy river was an added bonus to the facilities available 3) pool had a great view

1) The hotel overall is very dated and needs lots of renovation. Iron board covers with holes was the least of our issues. Staying in a Grand Studio we had an additional toilet. Within 2 days of being at the hotel there was an extreme stench and a huge leak from the ceiling of this toilet dripping onto the floor. Not Ideal as we had guests present. It took a few hours to sort but this did put us off hugely. All the lift button software and hardware needs updating ! Very slow and cumbersome to operate, especially for ladies with long nails 😂 2) the swimming pool is huge but not ideal for kids who can’t swim and adults who are also non swimmers & who may be on the shorter side ie 5ft 1” and below. The depth is constant through the pool . I became a daily pool uber for my wife moving her from the edge of the pool to where the infinity part of the pool was which had a step . 3) the food I would rate as 7/10 compared to many of the other hotels I’ve stayed in Dubai over the last 22 years. Also, not being able to switch one of the dinner half board options to lunch was something we’ve not experienced before as all the other hotels we’ve stayed in half board allowed us the option & flexibility to switch between dinner & lunch. 4) the staff seem miserable and very rarely said hello or good morning. I’m not sure the reasoning behind this but can only assume they are being overworked or not happy with the new management since recent takeover by Minor Hotels 5) We’ve never been charged for ICE before , this was again another example of the hotel not going the extra mile to ensure customers in Studios or otherwise were comfortable. However, Complimentary water was supplied and topped up daily in our room.

poor start and unnecessary stress because booking was not handled properly

My booking had breakfast included but at checkin the hotel said it was not included. I explained and showed the booking but they claimed the instruction they received did not have breakfast included. I had to pay for breakfast. Tried contacting booking.com but they were not responding until the second day when issue was fixed.

his is an amazing hotel with beautiful facilities, great service, and wonderful food.

First of all, the hotel is very beautiful. The staff are amazing and so nice. Breakfast had plenty of fresh food with a nice variety of Arabic and Western options. The hotel is very clean, the gym is excellent, and the views are breathtaking. Both pools were great—the indoor pool was high quality, but nothing beats the outdoor pool with its perfect cold water, great weather, and food and drinks served by the pool. The private beach was also really nice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the beds are super cozy.

Personally, I didn’t like my room because the balcony had a wall blocking the sunlight, so there was no real view or morning sun—only artificial lighting. Another issue I had was with the lazy river. They didn’t have enough floaties, and while I was waiting patiently, other people cut in front of me. The staff member didn’t handle it professionally, and I had to argue to get my turn, which was very unpleasant.

Amazing staff, hospitality 10/10. The facilities were amazing, very clean, safe and enjoyable. Staff organised a number of surprises for my daughters 1st birthday, they really exceeded our expectations and made our trip the best!

Can only pay by credit card or cash for the hotel, we did not realise this but this was easily resolved with the atm located at the reception Also needs to be clear about £300 deposit required upon checkin when booking hotel online, not stated when booking hotel.

Great Stay at DUKES The Palm

Really enjoyed my stay at DUKES The Palm. The room was clean, spacious, and had an amazing view of the Palm and the skyline. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The indoor pool was excellent – clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The infinity pool had great views but could use a bit of a refurb. I don’t drink, so I didn’t try the bar, but the atmosphere around the hotel was relaxed and family-friendly. Overall, a great spot for a peaceful break with easy access to the beach and main Dubai attractions. Would happily stay again.

Nice indoor pool, but rooms need updating.

Most facilities are ok. The indoor pool was useful due to the hot weather.

Our room was very outdated and needs to be maintained. It has no view and was very dark, even with the curtains open fully. It smelled damp and there were stains on the throw pillows. The shower would switch between hot and cold and the water pressure was pretty low. Also, the bath sank in the middle so there was always a cold puddle of water when stepping in.

Lazy river, swimming pool, room size, cleanes, staff. Beach is very big but it would be better in spring time. They have a very tasty pickles in breakfast

Tv is not a smart tv , so there is no youtube, netflex ...etc. Breakfast is good but it can be better just increase quality of raw materials
