New Rome house 2

The Room was nice for us with lots of room since we had a little kitchen space. We messaged the property about a few things and got responses in a timely manner. Very helpful. The location was good with a caffe and restaurant right next door and it is walking distance from the Metro and Train Station.

Bed was a little too firm for us but that is a personal preference. We still slept well.

It had good wifi, it had good location and the checking in process was easy. Good deal for the money you pay.

We didn't get any body wash, the soup dispenser was broken and the towels smelles wierd.

The location is great, close to the Termini station, metro station, many restaurants near by. You can walk to the Colosseum for 30 minutes, and there are many sightseeings around

Not much. But many of the shower functions don’t work, the towels have hairs on them.

At the last minute we were notified that our room in new room house 2 was unavailable as “something happened to our room” no real explanation just that & “not to worry as we were being moved to their other property that was the same” . We were moved to Italy Guest House. I asked quite a few questions in regards to the swap and what quality apartment we would be given. I was assured that it was the same as the one we originally booked at the new Rome house 2. We arrived to find that it was nothing like the photos of Rome New House 2. Italy Guest House in a large shared building. Which has MANY different types of accommodation on each 5 levels and all are similar set ups to the one we stayed in - which was a converted apartment Made into four rooms with ensuite inside them - a shared coffee area (that was not fully stocked with water or coffee I asked the host for additional coffee and they did provide it.). We aren’t familiar with room size of apartments in Rome as it is our first stay… but the hotel we got move to looked VERY different from the hotel we originally booked. Looking at reviews of Italy Guest House I would not have booked it. I’m not happy that this occurred. I was told “ it was no extra cost as it’s the same price” they gave us the room that had the kitchen in it.. a trade for the broom closet sized bathroom perhaps… and I’m not kidding about its size. The width to sit on the toilet is marginally bigger than the seat. We understand that Rome is an old city and many of the buildings are old and traditional we have no problem with this but we do however feel that the accommodation was marketed as Rome New house is bait to fill the rooms in the less desirable apartment that we were moved to. We were not given any discount or changing price considering the lesser quality of the apartment compared to our original booking. Beware of their arrangements.

The insanely small bathroom. The way it was handled being moved from a better apartment to a less desirable apartment with no change in the price. When clearly the apartment we moved to was a lesser quality than the one we originally booked and paid for.
