Mekong Rustic Can Tho Hideaway

I have stayed here twice before and I love returning to this wonderful place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Mekong Delta. The staff have treated me like family and welcomed me into their world. This time I stayed in the double bungalow and it was extremely spacious and comfortable. I usually rent a motorbike and travel into town often. I also will visit the floating market in the early morning and eat breakfast amongst the locals on the river. I now brought my family and friends along to experience the magic of the Mekong. I always feel refreshed and recharged when I leave the Mekong Rustic Hideaway.

the lodging area is located about 300 meters from the front of a the property. the brick pathway is narrow, winding and dimly lighted at night. moving any wheeled luggage to your bungalow is difficult but they try to compensate for this by having the staff transport your belongings via a gas engine powered boat to a dock near your stay. however, this is sometimes difficult if the water level in the channel is too low. another issue was the availability of hot water in the bungalow, hot or even warm water took a long time or just didn’t arrive at all, probably due to the 300 long pipes - a better solution would have been to use tankless or flash hot water heater’s at the point of use, the result would have been nearly instant hot water
