Mekong Rustic Can Tho Hideaway

Jai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour. L’endroit donnait presque l’impression d’un hôtel privatisé. J’ai pu louer un scooter sur place, ce qui était très pratique pour me déplacer. La nourriture était excellente, et la piscine, rien que pour moi, m’a permis de profiter pleinement d’un séjour très agréable en pleine nature.

Attention, les portes ferment le soir. Prévoyez votre arrivée ainsi que vos sorties si vous souhaitez aller au marché flottant ou vous balader après le dîner.

I had the most relaxing and peaceful stay here. The staff are SO friendly and helpful, the room was large and cool, and the pool was fantastic. There are some very cute (and safe, well-trained and friendly) dogs too. A big highlight for me was the food - I ate every meal here everything was delicious! I just wanted somewhere in nature to wind down after being in cities for so long, on my way along the Mekong to get the boat to Phnom Penh, and this delivered. I biked through the village one day and to a local monastery, and did an early morning floating market tour through one of their partners - very well organised. Apart from that I just lazed around reading, eating and napping and it was SO nice. Thank you team!

It’s a bit far from obvious shops and restaurants but that’s the point! Some distant karaoke noise on the first night but that’s everywhere in Vietnam and not the property’s fault. It wasn’t every night either.

dining arrangements consisted of widely spaced, individual raised and covered platforms. food was brought by the servers to the dining platform for the meal. the dining platform and the table and chairs could accommodate approximately 8 to 10 diners with adequate space for the meal set up and the servers

the lodging area is located about 300 meters from the front of a the property. the brick pathway is narrow, winding and dimly lighted at night. moving any wheeled luggage to your bungalow is difficult but they try to compensate for this by having the staff transport your belongings via a gas engine powered boat to a dock near your stay. however, this is sometimes difficult if the water level in the channel is too low. another issue was the availability of hot water in the bungalow, hot or even warm water took a long time or just didn’t arrive at all, probably due to the 300 long pipes - a better solution would have been to use tankless or flash hot water heater’s at the point of use, the result would have been nearly instant hot water
