Wonderful B&B - we will return!

Very friendly hosts are taking good care of this little paradise in Xalo. Spacious, lush, with several places to sit and enjoy the view of mountains and vineyards. We loved to hang out by the pool in the afternoons with some refreshments from the honesty bar. Nice breakfast area as well, and the breakfasts were a delight. The location was perfect - we could use our tiny Brompton bikes to explore the area. A short trip through vineyards towards Lliber, and a supershort trip also to get to the Xalo town. Jolanda also drove us to Benigembla so we could explore Vall de Pop from town to town. Thank you!

Fabulous and highly recommended staying here

Jolanda and Hans were fabulous hosts. They were so friendly and helpful. The location was great to walk to restaurants. The accommodation was perfect for a relaxing getaway. I loved the quirkiness of the place. Lovely breakfast. Would definitely go back. I highly recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Boho Paradise

What a little gem. Jolanda and Hans were fantastic hosts. The place itself is a little boho paradise. So quiet, great little pool, honesty bar was a good touch. Breakfast yummy. The town of Jalon is 20 mins walk along a main road. We will def return thank you for having us and being so lovely xx

Amazing hosts, with fantastic breakfasts, home made smoothies were delicious, the honesty bar was a great touch too. We were able to walk to the local restaurant which was superb and they served quite upmarket/fine dining style food.

A real gem!

Beautiful place, comfy room, great location for hiking. The breakfast is superb- delicious and plentiful. The honesty bar was a real delight - drinking beer watching the sunset and prosecco in front of the fire in the lounge area made the end of a spectacular day in the mountains perfect. Above all, the hosts were so welcoming. We will be back I hope!

Fantastic stay. We had bikes with us and found amazing cycling right from the front door!

Our hosts were warm and welcoming and provided delicious and healthy breakfasts. The community room was comfortable- we liked the honor system for beer, wine and snacks. The gardens, pool area and little seating nooks were very inviting.

Lovely Dutch host and hostess!!

the grounds were nice; the hosts were both very kind and accomodating. They had so many suggestions for places to eat and things to do. the nearby town is very clean and friendly and historical. There is a pool on the grounds but we did not use it. The wifi was fast and strong. Breakfast was yummy- be sure to order the house specialty

The room was a touch small, so with our suitcases it was hard to manuever around. No aircon- but none needed at our visit- I can imagine it could get quite hot in the summer though

great hosts - Hans and Jolanda create a open and heartwarming environment. Great breakfast, possibilities to store own food in a fridge. Drinks and other things are available. Many difference locations to sit and enjoy the view. Short walking distance to the village and restaurants even though a short part is on a main street.

The property is in countryside setting surrounded by hills & vineyards yet walking distance to town & restaurants. Good size room & bathroom. Far, far more than a B and B

Buena Idea proved to be a fantastic stay, on so many levels. The general ambiance was so peaceful and relaxing. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They booked a table for us for each of our four nights in nearby restaurants. All the meals were delicious but we particularly enjoyed Aromas - one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! The fact that Jolanda and Hans both spoke excellent English was such a benefit for us too, coming from Ireland. There are plenty of sunbeds and chairs and seating areas for guests to enjoy some time in the sun. There is an ‘honesty box’ with drinks provided. The swimming pool was fantastic. The location is great too - in the beautiful countryside yet convenient to many places of interest. We really couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Location was excellent, welcome from the owners with a glass of wine was amazing, so relaxing, lovely room and facilities, excellent local restaurants and great advice on local attractions and restaurants, highly recommended.

Perfect Relaxation!!!

A beautifully, quaint, idyllic place to spend a few days chillaxing!!! Jolanda & Hans welcome you more as friends than guests. Freshly cooked breakfast, cooked to order each morning, along with a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats & cheeses. Excellent!!!

Oh gosh where to start?! I’ll resist the urge to write a multi-paragraph essay on what wonderful hosts Jolanda and Hans are, although such an essay would be justified. To arrive at Buena Idea is to arrive immediately in the company of friends. This is a beautiful, restful place, fuss-free and effortless in the best of ways. Jolanda and Hans are warm and welcoming, in a way that is clearly underpinned by a passion and purpose for the well-being of all who pass through. I’ll simply recommend this place to anyone, and wish you as enjoyable and heart-warming a stay as I had, and as I know was shared by everyone staying at the same time I was. Just lovely!
