About this house rental
Happy Hour is a lake front home designed around the celebration of family and friends. It is ideal for reunions, gatherings, and the entertainment of both large and intimate groups. Happy Hour accommodates up to 30 guests in beds and is equipped with ample table seating. Located on an acre lot with more than 200 feet of private water frontage & built right on the 1044 (the lowest and closest to the lake that the Tennessee Valley Water Authority will allow).
This 8 bedroom home offers 2 full Living levels complete with a full kitchen, living room, dining area, as well as a private deck with a full outdoor furniture set and grill on each level. A 3rd walkout lower level is equipped with a play area, foosball and TV, and two bedrooms designed as kid friendly bunk rooms, along with one full bath. This 3rd level is very private and is sure to accommodate the more active evening activities, while providing tranquility to the upper two floors. The 3rd level walks out to a private deck which extends to a secluded hot tub deck equipped with a new hot tub overlooking the water. Beyond the hot tub deck is a walking path and fire pit area on the water’s edge.
The Covered boat dock is oversized, constructed with Trex decking and is equipped with two personal watercraft drive up docks, a water slide, and a large sunning deck with a Tiki Bar and is ideal for playing at the water or just hanging out. The Main level of the house is located on the street level with no steps to the water. This is ideal for those wanting to avoid steps while still enjoying the breathtaking views of the water from this level.
An 18 x 32 foot fire pit and camping area has just been added on the water’s edge. It is elevated and overlooks the water & is perfect for evening gatherings or early Spring and Fall activities. Like the rest of Happy Hour, it was designed with the group gathering/family in mind. Sharing stories with your friend/relatives around the fire or just roasting marshmallows with your grandchildren is a special experience you will remember for a lifetime. Two tent areas beyond the main gathering area are ideal for the kids to have a campout close to the house during your vacation.
The main level kitchen is enhanced with granite counter tops and custom Tennessee built cabinets. The majority of the main level has authentic hardwood flooring, 17 foot tall cathedral ceilings, a 50” LCD TV, two dining areas, a beautiful owners suite equipped with a king bed and a desk for catching up on work activities. The owner’s bath is top of the line with a Jacuzzi type tub and tile flooring. The 2nd bedroom on the main level has a king bed and adjoins a full bath via a private entrance. This 2nd bath is also open to the great room and is a common bath. The 3rd bedroom offers two full beds and a great view. The Main level deck extends the length/width of the home as do the other 2 levels of deck, and offers a sunning area with lounge chairs at one end and a table and chair area, with a large stainless steel grill, at the other.
The middle level has an open floor plan complete with a large family room, with a spectacular view, and a 50 inch TV, as well as a 2nd full kitchen, dining area, 3 bedrooms, full bath and a laundry room. The 4th bedroom is located on the lakeside and has a king bed and TV. The 5th bedroom offers a king bed. The 6th bedroom is set up ideally for the young family with a queen bed and a set of twin over twin bunks with a trundle pull out bed. There is plenty of room for a Pack N Play (as Happy Hour has two of them upon request.)
The lower walkout level, as mentioned above, is complete with a recreation/game room and two bedrooms. The large room has two full over full bunk bed sets, and the 8th bedroom has two twin over twin bunk sets.
Happy Hour has plenty of parking and, can accommodate up to 8 cars outside of the home, and many more in the development's auxiliary parking area. Happy Hour is conveniently located in the Lakeside Estates gated community just a few miles from I-75 and minutes from the city of La Follette. From the lake, you couldn't ask for a better location. The very popular Deerfield Resort is located just south of Lakeside Estates and around the corner from Sugar Hollow Marina, Shanghai Marina, and Springs Resort. You can enjoy these full service marinas and restaurants within a few minutes boat ride, yet be very secluded at your vacation home.
**Please note that between mid November and the first of March the water levels at Norris Lake are normally down. This can limit access to the dock depending on the water level.

My extended family, ranging in age from 1 to 89, stayed at Happy Hour the week after the 4th of July, our first lake vacation after years of renting beach houses, and it did not disappoint.Norris Lake is stunning and the water was perfect. Rent a boat and spend your days exploring the marinas and swimming spots. Most places don’t open until noon and close by 9 except on certain days, and there isn’t much to do in town, which makes this the perfect spot for a family or group of friends looking to relax in nature, play games, boat, swim, and fish.Happy Hour sits in a no wake zone, a short ride from the jumping bridge, Sugar Hollow Marina (wonderful drinks, a parrot named Sugar Daddy, and the best spot for boat gas and ice), and Shanghai Marina (free spray park for the kids).The dock is one level with a slide, a covered boat port, and plenty of space to hang towels. Bring rafts or noodles for lounging, and don’t miss the rope swing, just a short swim away.The house itself is fantastic, with two kitchens and three separate living areas, so everyone had their own space to spread out and relax, including a wonderful middle floor kitchen and living area. Mornings were made for coffee on the deck, evenings were made for chats by the fire pit, and the hot tub was put to very good use the whole week.

Had the pleasure of speaking with the host personally and enjoyed the personal connection. The house was clean, comfortable and perfect for 17 people with room to spare. We enjoyed the entire space, from the dock to the top floor. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay here with a large group, bringing along two boats and a jet ski, and the property accommodated us perfectly. The house is very spacious, offering plenty of indoor and outdoor areas for everyone to relax, hang out, and enjoy time together.The dock was one of our favorite spots—it’s ideal for spending the day when you’re not out on the water. The location is also a big plus, with easy access to several marinas just minutes away. The community dock and trailer parking made everything incredibly convenient for our group.The owners were wonderful to work with—very accommodating, responsive, and helpful. They also provided great tips and recommendations for the area, including restaurants, which made our stay even more enjoyable.Overall, this property is perfect for large groups, especially those looking to enjoy time on the water. We would definitely stay here again!

I am sure you can find a better place than this. Just don’t pick this one until you search other 8 bedroom, 4 bath homes first and their amenities. And pictures from 10 years ago look great too! Your starter paper towels and toilet paper for 25-30 people-very small, cheap and one roll in each bathroom. Really. Clocks needing batteries and under microwave lights so you see when you cook. The cleaning team that comes in between rentals can’t possibly have time to check all that. Heck they leave your clean sheets folded on your bed for YOU to put on. And all your cookware, bakeware, etc. all unorganized under the counter so you have to dig through to find what you might be able to use. No empty cabinets to keep your food in for the week. It also said the home came with an ice machine which I knew my sons would like. Guess what? It was taken out last year but write up never got changed. I think the prices for rentals have really gone way too high plus you pay all those extra fees like Stay Tax (what’s that?), service fee at almost 1000 and a cleaning fee. You don’t want to complain but c’mon people think about it!
