Lovely people, choose well your room

The innkeepers are amazing, very attentive. We were late and got lost in getting there and Claudio went walking to find us and direct us to the right entrance. The breakfast is abundant with yogurt, fruits, caprese salad (we are vegetarian), juice, tea, croissants, cappuccino and more. Elena is the sweetest lady, with a clear Italian, speaking slow so I could understand everything. She didn't speak English but understood all the effort I was doing to communicate. Claudio speaks a little bit of English, French, German and was very helpful.

We asked for two separated bedrooms. The description states an apartment, with kitchen and two separate suites (bedroom and bathroom) but one of the "bedrooms"/ single bed was in the kitchen/dining area, with dedicated bathroom. It was weird to sleep looking at a stove. and having a window which will go to a wall outside, making a dark ambience. We adapted and stayed, but this organization is not clear from pictures. The other room was great, with a partial view from the lake and some sun during the day. Both of them had small fridges and a dedicated bathroom all equipped.

We were traveling by train and Claudio was nice enough to pick up us in the station and give us a nice tour. Elena and Claudio are really nice and helpful.

We were there without a car, so the walk back from the lake was a bit steep, maybe that is something to consider...

Clean but whole experience lacked warmth and facilities/ sense of feeling welcome severely lacking

We were on foot and the B and B was on the top of a very steep hill . This wasn’t mentioned anyway and was an effort to get to with cases. The owner knew we had travelled by foot and made no offer of sorting/ suggesting a taxi for return to train station.

Cozy stay, amazing hosts

Amazing hosts, we felt like being part of their family. We got all tips for places to visit, restaurants to have dinner, ways to go. The host even fixed broken bike tire. The place itself is very clean, quiet, surrounded by beautiful views. Highly recommend.

Such Hospitality!!!

This is small, family-run B&B that was perfectly lovely! We inadvertently arrived after midnight and woke up the host. He was extremely gracious, carried up our bags, gave us a choice of two rooms and made us feel comfortable immediately. He even brought me a bowl of ice upon request-at 12:30 am! The room was spotless and artfully decorated. Balcony overlooked their lovely property with view of Lake Maggiore in the background. Husband and wife greeted us at breakfast and provided a delicious array of breads, cheeses, meats, muffins, etc etc. the best was the fruit grown in their garden!! I highly recommend supporting this establishment and enjoying true Italian hospitality.

This whole region of Italy is MOUNTAINOUS and quite a challenge to drive in. That was our choice. The mountains are gorgeous; roads (and hundreds of daredevil drivers who pass you on hairpin turns) are difficult to deal with but that is NO reflection of this lodging.

Ruhige Ferien am Ostufer des Lago Maggiore

Die Fewo lag sehr ruhig, war geräumig, hatte Klimaanlage und vor allem ein Balkon mit einer traumhaften Aussicht. Der Gastgeber war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Einmal haben wir das sagenhafte Frühstück bestellt, das in der Tat sehr umfangreich ist. Die Pension liegt etwas auf dem Berg im Ortsteil San Pietro. Unten befindet sich eine Bucht mit dem kl. malerischen Strand von Caldé mit ein paar Restaurants.

Elektrik und sanitäre Anlagen sind in die Jahre gekommen. Der Gasherd fiel aus, Schlauch undicht (?), aber da wurde sofort Ersatz herangeschafft, 2 elektrische Kochplatten. Insgesamt ist das Ostufer des Sees weniger entwickelt.

GASTVRIJ, GEWELDIG, fantastisch ontbijt, fijne grote kamer met heerlijke bedden

Claudio en Elena DANK voor jullie gastvrijheid, enthousiasme, humor en fantastisch verblijf! De kamer is groot, de bedden liggen heerlijk en 2 badkamers zijn ook heel fijn. Het ontbijt is fantastisch, veel vers fruit, kaas, vleeswaren en heerlijke koffie die Claudio met liefde maakt. Claudio heeft zelfs voor ons een avond pasta gemaakt, we waren welkom in zijn keuken en hij liet zien hoe hij dit maakt, terwijl Elena proefde of het goed was. Bij het ontbijt kregen we de kaas die we lekker vonden. En we kregen nog meer tips mee. Zo enthousiast, zo gastvrij !! Passie is het juiste woord. We hopen nog terug te komen en onze dochters ook!! In 3 dagen tijd hebben we een stukje Italiaanse familie erbij gekregen 😍

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt! Wir kommen sehr gerne nochmal!!

Die Betreiber Elena & Claudio sind super nett!! Wir haben noch nie so zuvorkommende und engagierte Menschen getroffen. Sie sind sehr gastfreundlich und interessieren sich sehr für ihre Hotelgäste - ihnen liegt ihr Wohlbefinden sehr am Herzen, das war deutlich spürbar. Wir waren als Gruppe in einer Suite - es war sehr sauber, klimatisiert und wir hatten sehr viel Platz. Außerdem war die Küche mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht (Toaster, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank,…). Vom Balkon hatte man einen sehr schönen Ausblick und die Gegend ist auch sehr ruhig, sodass man Abends auch schön draußen sitzen kann. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet!!! Es gab super leckere Früchte, Wurst-/Käseplatten, frische Mozzarella,… . Außerdem haben wir sehr leckeren Kaffee/Tee und Säfte bekommen!! Parken kann man im Hof optimal, auch wenn das Auto etwas größer/länger ist. Es gibt von dort aus einen Aufzug und wir mussten keine Koffer o. Ä. tragen. Alles in allem waren wir super zufrieden!! Es war ein wunderschönes Wochenende und wir kommen sehr sehr gerne nochmal. Wir empfehlen es von Herzen :)

Délicieusement authentique

Le B&B da Pio est situé au cœur d’un petit village sur la colline très au calme et à 20mn à pied du joli port de Caldé et ses plages ombragées. la petite pension de famille est authentique , les chambres sont très propres et agréables avec vue sur la nature et le lac au loin . Le petit déjeuné est juste délicieux tout comme les hôtes qui nous ont donné pleins d’indications précieuses au séjour.

Nous étions en famille , il manquait juste un petit coin jardin pour se retrouver autour d’une verre ou jeux de cartes! Largement compensé par les nombreuses plages et places au bord du lac.

Parfait

Le propriétaire, très sympathique et qui parle français, a été aux petits soins, et nous a servi des petits déj excellents et copieux (c'est en supplément à 10€), nous encourageant même à en emporter un peu pour midi. Le hameau de San Pietro est un peu isolé mais le sentier piéton pour aller à Caldè est agréable, il y a aussi une petite route très peu fréquentée, pratique à pied. Il y a un autre sentier pour aller à Caldè via un pic rocheux, c'est beaucoup plus escarpé, à ne pas faire la nuit ou par temps de pluie! Le village de l'autre côté, Porto Valtravaglia, est également parfaitement accessible à pied, mais le chemin est moins agréable.

Een warm welkom bij de familie Rossi in een geweldige omgeving.

B&B Da Pio was voor ons een geweldige locatie. De eigenaren Claudio en Elena is niets te veel. Ze doen hun werk met volle liefde. Claudio geeft je ook voldoende tips en adviezen. De locatie is geschikt om dagtrips uit te voeren rondom Lago Maggiore. Het ontbijt is ruim voldoende met divers brood en beleg. Fruit , koek, gebak en andere lekkernijen. Je kunt er gewone koffie krijgen maar ook deca.

Niet echt een tegenvaller, maar als je vanuit Da Pio naar het water wil wandelen, moet je er rekening mee houden dat het flink op en neer gaat. Da Pio ligt op een heuvel. Er zijn enkele eenrichtingswegen. De wegen zijn smal, dus met de auto moet je wel oppassen. Naar Calde is 1,5 km wandelen, net als naar Porto Vatravaglia. Met de auto kun je het beste komende vanaf de grote doorgaande weg richting San Pietro rijden en dan voor de kerk links af onder de boog door rijden. Dan nog even naar rechts omlaag en dan links de parkeerplaats oprijden.

Perfekt für einen Urlaub an der Westküste des Lago

Als wir angekommen sind, wurden wir bereits vor dem Eingang von Claudio empfangen. Er ist ein absoluter serviceorientierter Mensch und wir haben uns direkt zu Hause gefühlt. Prima Zimmer mit kleinem Balkon und sogar Blick zum See. Zum Porto sind es 20 Minuten zu Fuß.

Die Matratzen sind etwas weich, war noch ok. Und das hat der Service 100 mal wieder ausgeglichen ;-)
