The best villa ever

Everything was above and beyond. I can't wait to go back and stay at Le Bamboo again. The staff are amazing and so welcomed made me feel I am at home. I booked only one night and checked out and then decided to stay one more night and they gave me upgrated room with few to the jungle and the see. I wish I could stay longer but I have to head back to London the next day otherwise I would extend my stay.

Perfect

Everything was perfect! Net where you can chill and relax while looking into nice view was our favorite. Pool has warm water so we could take a swim even after sunset. The villa also provides breakfast which was great, bike for rent and very good massage for additional charge.

We couldn’t manage to set fan to low speed, so it was ether cold or warm.

Nice place, but uluwatu tourism has destroyed the Bali spirit

- amazing pool & view - beautiful bamboo rooms - nice restaurant - comfy bed & mosquito net - clean

- poor bathroom design; floor stays wet all day from open shower and you get wet feet - you can hear traffic at night from the room - inattentive staff and unprofessional- sitting around on their phones looking bored and unhappy (not what im used to in ubud- where the service is amazing) - poor speaker quality and bad music in restaurant

Everything was perfect. They have also Yoga sessions (amazing views from here)gives you UBUD vibes.We booked Semi Open Villa (amazing,again)downstairs you have 1 bedroom with a terrace,upstairs you have 1 bed wich is almost outside,and a net to relax outside the villa.We slept in this bed ,listening to the nature sounds every night.All beds have mosquito nets.This type of villa has no AC,not a problem for us. The pool is big and again,amazing views.

So so charming, cosy & authentic. Breathtaking views from our bungalow, one-of-a-kind experience. Kind and helpful staff, amazing food.

Before booking, consider that the bungalows are quite literally surrounded by nature, ours was partially open so you may see wasps and other creepy crawlers. If you are weirded out easily, you may not be able to enjoy it at times. Also, there’s no AC only a fan on the ceiling which is something some people may not like.

Lovely for the right people, but not for us

Picturesque setting and a concept that, for the right traveller, might be appealing. Our room was decorated for our honeymoon, which we really appreciated.

Not for us. The pool was dirty and unusable, with no proper lounging space. The room lacked AC and was too open to the outdoors (and insects). The café atmosphere (taken over by very pretentious yoga members) felt exclusive and off-putting. The most frustrating part was the mixed messaging around cancellations: we left early, but were given only a small refund despite a later message stating flexible refund policies (which they denied applied to us). STOP READING NOW IF SQUEAMISH - Also, after eating a breakfast burger, I experienced food poisoning. The buns for the burger were black from food colouring. I was stuck on the toilet for a few hours later, and what came out looked like the Hulk had been in there all day (it was BRIGHT green).

The villa’s facilities, the view of the ocean, the breakfast was delicious, the private pool.

In the night a bit noisy, cleaning could have been better (but admitedly it’s very hard given the humidity) but for eg the sun bed covers could be washed, the toothbrushes cup (inside).

Very good

The amazing set up of the hotel divided in vaious different bungalows up the hill of Uluwatu area makes this place a dream for relax and peace of mind seeker. The view is great, you can see the ocean and the green area all around from above. There is a cute little vegeterian restaurant and breakfast (very convenient) is very good made out of local products. We booked the semi-open Bungalow with two floors, both of them fitted with a bed. Very important the room is fitted with 1 or 2 fan, It can get hot sometimes inside the room. Overall we had a good experience, staff was very welcoming and helpful.

The only negative note The YOGA classes!!! They start at 6,45 in the morning to gather people for the class and we could hear a lot of noise coming from the session, bungalows are very close to the classes and being semi- open you can literally hear every single thing!

Amazing bamboo villas. Ours was half open to the elements at the top so it was not air conditioned. This was not an issue at all. Nightly visitors included a cat and several geckos :)

Occasional water stoppage but rarely for longer than 10 to 20 minutes. The food wasn’t great but many many places to get to close by.

Bathroom is quite nice and the pool is beautiful. Good resto and mattress is comfortable.

Staying in the double bungalow sounds nice except the second level is not secure so wild cats got in & it is mosquito central. it really wouldn’t be ideal for more than 1 couple as there’s no possible way to take big luggage up the spiral stairs + only 1 bathroom.

Disappointing

The external look and design of the cottages and the nature all around.

While I was taking a shower, the water completely finished. I reserved a seat for the dancing show in the Uluwatu temple and I missed it for this reason. I went to the reception and the ladies made a disappointed face, making me even more stressed. The day after I have discovered the reason of the lack of water, they need to fill a tank with an external source of water that comes to the hotel. The room smell so bad, like when you sweat a lot and you don't wash the clothes. The mattress didn't allow us to sleep, it trigger a continuous hitching, it was awful. The bathroom smells so so bad, as a consequence of the humidity that is created by the shower thay doesn't have a proper pipe to drain the water and the fact that the flooring is in stone that absorb a water that doesn't evaporate. That floor need chlorine and bleach. It was disgusting. The morning of the day after we preferred to go to another hotel with a pool and facilities to take a shower instead of using that bathroom.
