Very pleasant, well-appointed cottages in a convenient location.

The location is ideal for access to Uttoxeter, as it is a simple 15-minute walk to the centre, and yet is quiet and secluded. The facilities for self-catering are excellent; the host provides all basic household materials and supplies for breakfast.

There are few disadvantages. The cottages are converted from an old stable block, so one must bear in mind the possibility of minor inconveniences not encountered in modern buildings. The main difficulty that older people or children might face is the precipitous stairs in the Groom’s Quarters. There is plenty of warning about these, but I imagine it could be a struggle to take luggage upstairs.

Exactly what we needed and a beautiful little spot.

Stunning, tucked-away location and so beautifully quiet. Very thoughtful items left by host. Cosy and snug with everything you need for a weekend away. Couldn't fault anything. The trifecta of a comfy bed, a comfy sofa and an excellent shower. Really felt like the hosts hadn't overlooked a single detail. Highly recommend.

Cosy cottage with everything you need for a short break

Really nice cottages in a great location for heading into Uttoxeter or the races or for us to visit Alton Towers - lots of nice touches and everything provided that you needed - lovely decor, would recommend and will very likely stop here again - hosts per informative on pre and post text messages

This booking was very last minute come from Kent. Near Canterbury. Taken 2 kids been at Alton towers from 9.30am till nearly 9pm. Was going to drive nearly 4 hours back home. Booked last minute and the host was incredible. Last check in was 9pm. Telephoned straight away to explain we were to tired to drive safely needed somewhere to stay and accommodated with ALL our needs. Perfect 👌 👍 absolutely perfect and the host explained everything. I will 100% book again. And will definitely recommend to everyone. Thank you. Also I didn't put the unhappy face next to my review. I gave all happy faces.

Pretty much everything. It was cozy, warm, and comfortable. The owner does also provide some small boxes of cereal, some milk, hot chocolate, and some other things. The area is very peaceful and quiet for a nice cozy evening with a loved one or alone.

Lovely quiet location but short drive to local attractions. Most impressed by how clean it was and the little touches to add comfort (flowers, cereal, body was etc). They really did provide everything. Perfect place for a short stay!

Lovely cozy place

It has very homely feeling and the kitchen has everything we need, even more than we expected. love the little treats the owner provided. The bed was very comfy and the shower was nice and powerful. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful and so relaxing

Absolutely amazing, so clean and an amazing host. Could not find a single fault. We was spoilt as after leaving here we checked into Alton Towers and wished we booked both nights here instead. We cannot wait to return! Thank you so much for having us
