Koi Resort & Spa Hoi An

The setting of the resort was fantastic, amenities and facilities were great.

The restaurant and bar were very slow serving, if the restaurant had more then 10 customers it couldn’t cope (bearing in mind that it could seat 150 people) and it was very Smokey from the food being cooked. A lot or rubbish floating in the river and a few issues with our villa (which they did fix once reported)

Great rooms, great facilities, great staff and great location!

Buffet breakfast was excellent. Rooms, pool and gardens were very good. Staff were very helpful and tried to ensure we had everything to make for a good holiday.

A numbers of things should be improved and were far from the standard expected from a hotel of this rating 4-5* - Pool bar, the level of service here was just ridiculous, 90% of the time there was an absence of staff at the bar, when you where lucky enough to 'find' someone to take your order it would take 30-50 minutes for the order to be served.............thats if it did actually arrive! This was our experience over our 7 night stay. - Rooms lack maintenance. our room was unacceptably dark due to the main source of lighting being out of action, we reported this and the LED lights were replaced......but this should have been reported by housekeeping and rectified before the next guest arrived. We had to change rooms during the night due water leaking through the bathroom ceiling........nothing offered by way of apology/compensation! Hotel restaurant - on our last night we decided to have family meal (6 adults and 5 children). This turned out to be a big mistake. In summary....... appalling service, too few and untrained staff (staff laying empty tables whilst we were waiting to be served). Waiting over an hour for the children's meals, having to repeatedly ask for our drinks, wrong meals being served, meals sent back as they were inedible.............This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had the misfortune to experience!! - Beach access, no direct beach access due to improvement works which was not mentioned when we booked!

Good value, great location, friendly staff.

There missing a trick by not having full time staff at the beach bar. Had to wait 20 minutes sometimes for someone to turn up. They also need to get the beach bar running.
