Overall we were very happy with the accommodation and would go back.

It was quiet, spacious, clean, comfortable and within easy walking distance to the town centre.

I got confused by the instructions for the key safe and separate codes for the gates and property. I couldn't work out how to access the garage either. I had to ask someone for help. There were 4 of us sharing but only one tea towel and two hand towels were provided. When a bath was run there was no hot water left for the rest of us to shower.

Central location. Very secure and good parking. Owner was quick to respond to our request for plates and tea towel.

Lack of basic kitchen cooking utensils like saucepans etc. oven and combined grill, did not have a grill pan and shelving was not fixed into the oven properly. It would be difficult to cook a meal for 4 people if you wanted too. No bathroom flooring.

It will be a lovely apartment when it's finished, unfortunately we were met with a lack of flooring in one bathroom and a bath that left the wall when filled in the other. 1 teaspoon and only 2 plates. 5 beds and 4 dining chairs... It is just not quite done Oh, and the balcony was occupied by a pigeon nest

Spacious safe apartment in a great location to explore York and area

Very clean, spacious and comfortable and in a great location for visiting the city. Parking was a bonus. Very secure and safe

The shower room floor was still not finished. We didn’t use the balcony as baby pigeons were in the nest being cared for by the mother.

The location was fabulous. The apartment was a good size, clean, and well equipped.

The quality of the single mattress in the second bedroom was awful! There were no teaspoons. Which is no biggy, but really annoying...

An ideal place to stay in York for a few days, especially you don't need a car.

The location is central, with everything you might need—historical sites, shops, pubs, and restaurants—all within walking distance. The property was spotless and well-equipped, with clean bathrooms and towels, comfy beds and sofa, a stunning view of the river, and a lovely balcony to unwind. Truly an excellent location and a comfortable stay.

Fans were provided for the hot summer days, but air conditioning would’ve made it perfect.

Apartment is in great location with reserved parking space and close to the city centre, all main sites to see are within easy walking distance.

Not a lot that can be done but the view of the river Foss was slightly spoilt by all the algae in the river probably due to the hot September weather

We all enjoyed our stay in York and would like to visit the city again as there is so much to see.

I have stayed in the same area before in 2019. I chose it as we were hiring a car and needed to have relatively easy access in and out of York City. As it was there were roadworks almost out the front. I chose the place for it's parking area and had a lift to upper floors. Entry behind gates and underground parking. Balcony was good too. We like to cater for ourselves and not rely on hotel food. Done that before. Cook for ourselves. Wash our clothes when we want too. Go in and out as we please. 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. We all used the shower and not the bath. Good hot water. Didn't go cold like last couple of places. All the usual for self catering. stovetop, oven, microwave, pots and pans. Couple of light globes needed replacing.

Instructions were okay for accessing property but key/lock safe a bit damaged. Button for gate access didn't work or worked every now and then. Phone calls to letting agent but we were able to get in okay. The gate button was the problem. we eventually got owner who replaced the battery and button worked fine after that. Perhaps needs better contact between letting agent and renters or holiday makers. When I came in 2019 I was met at the gate with my keys and button and shown in. is it the pandemic that's changed everything or shortage of staff or do letting agents not care or don't have the time to have that contact. It does make a difference if you meet and greet someone. It was the same in Edinburgh and Stirling. You don't feel as though you are important enough for some one to meet but they are very happy to take your money.

Location and facilities were superb for visiting city centre York. A wide variety of restaurants and attractions a very short walk away.

The property could do with a bit of TLC. Several lightbulbs did not work, the shower rail was broken and bath needed resealing.

Self Catering Splendour

The apartment is spacious, modern and clean with a lovely view of the river. It's very quiet without a sound from neighbours. Complimentary milk,coffee and ice cubes provided alongside white goods, cleaning products and soap, towels and quality bedding. Secure parking and gated community so we felt really safe during our stay.

It flew by and we wanted to stay longer so hoping to have a longer stay next year.
